Reuben De Melo is an Australian indie folk singer-songwriter. He won the thirteenth season of The Voice Australia on 27 October 2024, where he was coached by LeAnn Rimes. He received $100,000, an industry recording development package and a music masterclass. [1]
De Melo began his career by releasing his debut EP, Consumed in 2018. Up until 2024, prior to his time on The Voice Australia, he released numerous other singles. His 2020 single, "Sweet Oblivion", has received over 4.5 million streams on Spotify. [2]
In 2024, De Melo auditioned for The Voice Australia . He performed "I See Fire" in the blind auditions and got the four coaches, Guy Sebastian, LeAnn Rimes, Kate Miller-Heidke, and Adam Lambert to turn for him. [3] [4] After all three other coaches were blocked by Rimes using the new Ultimate Block, De Melo was defaulted to Rimes's team. After his audition, Lambert stated that De Melo a "diamond in the rough" and Miller-Heidke expressed that he "could win [the] competition." De Melo won the season on 27 October 2024 after receiving the most votes from a viewer poll. [5]

She originally rose to success as a country music artist at the age of 13 and has since crossed over into pop, contemporary Christian, and other musical genres. Rimes has placed more than 40 singles on international charts since 1996. Keir Francis Nuttall is a Brisbane-based guitarist-singer-songwriter. He is a founding mainstay member of the rock trio, Transport, which formed in 2001. He married Australian singer-songwriter and actor, Kate Miller-Heidke, in 2007. Since 2004 he has performed and recorded in her backing band. Nuttall's songs have been recorded by Miller-Heidke, including her singles, "Space They Cannot Touch", "Words" and other tracks on her debut album, Little Eve. As Franky Walnut, Nuttall performs comic songs such as, "Where Have I Been All Your Life?" and "Three Word Review", both of which he recorded. His first solo album, The Franky Walnut Reflective Drink Coaster (2013), was nominated for the ARIA Award for Best Comedy Release in 2014.

On 6 February 2024, it was revealed on the show's social media that only Guy Sebastian would return as a coach from the previous season for the thirteenth season. At the same time, it was announced that LeAnn Rimes, Kate Miller-Heidke, and Adam Lambert would debut as coaches, replacing Rita Ora, Jessica Mauboy, and Jason Derulo, respectively. Sonia Kruger returned as host for her ninth season.
