"Khona" is a song by South African duo Mafikizolo. It was released as the lead single from their eighth studio album, Reunited (2013). The song features additional vocals from Uhuru and was released by Kalawa Jazmee Records. In South Africa, the song peaked at number 1 on YFM, Umhlobo Wenene FM, Ukhozi FM and True FM. Moreover, it peaked at number 2 on the Metro FM music chart. In Nigeria, the song received numerous radio airplay on the Beat 99.9 FM and Cool FM. On the Prisoner of Class music chart, the song made the list of the top 10 African songs of 2013, peaking at number 1. Furthermore, it peaked at number 1 on Afribiz's Top 100 chart.

Due Drop is the debut studio album by South African singer Toya Delazy. It was released by SME Africa on 23 April 2012. The album is a fusion of JEHP, an acronym for Jazz, Electro, Hip hop, and Pop. Mafikizolo is a South African Afro-pop music duo formed in 1996, consisting of composer Theo Kgosinkwe and lead singer Nhlanhla Nciza. The duo rose to fame after they released their singles "Ndihamba Nawe kuphela", "Kwela Kwela", "Sibongile", "Udakwa Njalo" . The group released their self-titled album Mafikizolo in 1997 and Music Revolution in 1999.

Uhuru were a South African musical group best known for producing the hit single "Khona" performed by Mafikizolo. Signed to Kalawa Jazmee, the band consisted of Nqobile Mahlanu (Mapiano), Sihle Dlalisisa, Xelimpilo Simelane (Xeli) and Themba Sekowe. Independently, Uhuru is best known for hit remixes like "Y-tjukutja" and "The Sound".

Revolution is a house band formed in Johannesburg, South Africa consisting of twin brothers George and Joseph Mothiba. Yamikani Janet Banda; known professionally as Lady Zamar, is a Malawian/South African singer and songwriter. She was born on 19 June 1987 in Malawi to a Malawian father and South African mother and was raised in Mamelodi. She mainly incorporates elements of house music in her songs and primarily sings in English which appeals to a wide audience. In 2019 she was a guest judge on Idols South Africa.

Blaq Diamond is a South African Afro pop duo from Ladysmith KwaZulu-Natal. They met in 2010 on a school trip where both participated in a music cypher in the school bus. They signed to record label Ambitiouz Entertainment, releasing their debut album Inqola (2017), which became their first iTunes number one.

Mukengerwa Tresor Riziki, best known by his stage name TRESOR, is a Congolese-born singer, songwriter, music producer, entrepreneur and philanthropist. He gained prominence in 2015 after releasing his single "Mount Everest" from his debut album, VII. His name "Tresor", when translated from French, means "treasure".

Qwabe Twins is a South African Afro-pop duo formed in KwaZulu-Natal consisting of two identical twins Virginia and Viggy Qwabe. They were contestant on season 15 of the Idols South Africa.
