Fort Bliss is a United States Army post in New Mexico and Texas, with its headquarters in El Paso, Texas. Named in honor of LTC William Bliss (1815–1853), a mathematics professor who was the son-in-law of President Zachary Taylor, Ft. Bliss has an area of about 1,700 square miles (4,400 km2); it is the largest installation in FORSCOM and second-largest in the Army overall. The portion of the post located in El Paso County, Texas, is a census-designated place with a population of 8,591 as of the time of the 2010 census. Fort Bliss provides the largest contiguous tract of restricted airspace in the Continental United States, used for missile and artillery training and testing, and at 992,000 acres (401,000 ha) boasts the largest maneuver area. The garrison's land area is accounted at 1.12 million acres, ranging to the boundaries of the Lincoln National Forest and White Sands Missile Range in New Mexico. Fort Bliss also includes the Castner Range National Monument.

South Scanian Regiment, designation P 7, is a Swedish Army armoured regiment that traces its origins back to 1811. It was converted from the South Scanian Infantry Regiment in 1963 and renamed South Scanian Regiment. The regiment's soldiers were originally recruited from the region of Scania (Skåne), and it is currently garrisoned in Revingehed outside Lund, in Skåne County.
The Air Defence Regiment, is the only anti-aircraft regiment in the Swedish Armed Forces. Its new organisation was introduced in 2000, when all other anti-aircraft units in Sweden were disbanded. The regiment is located in Halmstad and has the responsibility for training two air defence battalions and one home guard battalion.
The Södermanland Regiment, designated P 10 or P 3 and P 10/Fo 43, was an armored regiment of the Swedish Army with its roots in the 17th century, and was located in Strängnäs. The regiment was deactivated in 2004 and its assets were funneled into other parts of the military. Its life company was transferred to the Södermanland Group of the Home Guard, making the Södermanland Group the only Home Guard unit with such a company.

The South Scanian Infantry Regiment, designation I 7, was a Swedish Army infantry regiment founded on 10 December 1811 to address the gaps left by the loss of Finland. It was stationed in southern Scania, recruiting soldiers from local counties. The regiment initially used the rotation system for recruitment and trained at various locations such as Veberöd and Tvedöra. In 1816, a new numbering system for Swedish regiments was introduced, with I 25 assigned to the Southern Scanian Infantry Regiment. In 1925, a merger with the Northern Scanian Infantry Regiment was proposed, but the regiment remained intact, though it was moved to Ystad. The regiment also underwent significant reorganizations, including being motorized in 1942 and transitioning to an armored regiment in 1949. During World War II, the regiment's operations expanded, and it became part of the Southern Army Division. The regiment was reorganized and renamed under several defence acts, and its barracks and training areas shifted over time. The regiment was finally disbanded in 1997, with the barracks sold to Ystad Municipality and preserved as a heritage site.
