Rhiannon Dixon (born 16 April 1995) is an English professional boxer who is the current WBO female World lightweight champion. She has previously held the Commonwealth and European lightweight titles.
A qualified pharmacist with a degree from Manchester University, Dixon took up boxing aged 21 and turned professional in 2019. [1]
She defeated Vicky Wilkinson by technical knockout to win the vacant Commonwealth lightweight title on 11 March 2023. [2] [3]
Dixon claimed the vacant European lightweight championship on 30 September 2023, with victory against Katharina Thanderz by unanimous decision. [4] [5]
On 13 April 2024, Dixon beat Karen Elizabeth Carabajal by unanimous decision to win the vacant WBO World lightweight title. [6] [7] [8] [9]
Dixon is scheduled defend her world title against fellow English boxer Terri Harper at Manchester's Co-op Live Arena on 24 August 2024. [10] [11]

In boxing, the undisputed champion of a weight class is the boxer who simultaneously holds world titles from all major organizations recognized by each other and the International Boxing Hall of Fame. There are currently four major sanctioning bodies: WBA, WBC, WBO, and IBF. There were many undisputed champions before the number of major sanctioning bodies recognizing each other increased to four in 2007, but there have been only 19 boxers to hold all four titles simultaneously.
Vasiliy Anatolyevich Lomachenko, also spelled Vasyl Anatoliyovych Lomachenko, is a Ukrainian professional boxer. He has held multiple world championships in three weight classes from featherweight to lightweight, including the International Boxing Federation (IBF) lightweight title since May 2024. Following a brief amateur career, Harper made her professional debut in 2017. She won her first championship two years later, capturing the regional WBC International female lightweight title in 2019. Later that year she moved down a weight class to the super-featherweight division to win her first world championship, the vacant IBO title, and added the WBC title to her collection the following year after defeating long-reigning champion Eva Wahlström.
