Lambda Literary Award Award for published works which celebrate or explore LGBT themes

Lambda Literary Awards, also known as the "Lammys", are awarded yearly by Lambda Literary to recognize the crucial role LGBTQ writers play in shaping the world. The Lammys celebrate the very best in LGBTQ literature.The awards were instituted in 1989.

Radclyffe is an American author of lesbian romance, paranormal romance, erotica and mystery. She has authored multiple short stories, fan fiction and edited numerous anthologies. Barot is a member of the Saints and Sinners Literary Hall of Fame and winner of the Laurel Wreath, Beanpot, RWA Prism, Lories, Aspen Gold, Golden Crown Literary Society, and Lambda Literary Awards. She is a 2003/04 recipient of The Alice B Readers Award for her body of work as well as a member of the Golden Crown Literary Society, Pink Ink, and the Romance Writers of America. In 2014, the Lambda Literary Foundation awarded Barot with the Dr. James Duggins Outstanding Mid-Career Novelist award acknowledging her as an established author, with a strong following, and the promise of future high-quality work. Barot founded the LGBTQ publishing house Bold Strokes Books in 2004. She has given many workshops on the craft of writing and in 2013, she founded the Flax Mill Creek Writers Retreat where she offers both face-to-face and online workshops to authors at all stages of development.

Charlie Jane Anders American science fiction author and commentator

Charlie Jane Anders is an American writer and commentator. She has written several novels, published magazines and websites, and hosted podcasts. In 2005, she received the Lambda Literary Award for work in the transgender category, and in 2009, the Emperor Norton Award. Her 2011 novelette Six Months, Three Days won the 2012 Hugo and was a finalist for the Nebula and Theodore Sturgeon Awards. Her 2016 novel All the Birds in the Sky was listed No. 5 on Time magazine's "Top 10 Novels" of 2016, won the 2017 Nebula Award for Best Novel, the 2017 Crawford Award, and the 2017 Locus Award for Best Fantasy Novel; it was also a finalist for the 2017 Hugo Award for Best Novel.

Lori L. Lake is an American writer of fiction, mainly about lesbian protagonists. She is also an editor, instructor, publisher, and reviewer.

Karin Kallmaker is an American author of lesbian fiction whose works also include those originally written under the name Laura Adams. Her writings span lesbian romance, lesbian erotica, and lesbian science-fiction/fantasy. Dubbed the Queen of Lesbian Romance, she publishes exclusively in the lesbian market as a matter of personal choice.

Lambda Literary Awards are awarded yearly by the United States-based Lambda Literary Foundation to published works that celebrate or explore LGBT themes. To qualify, a book must have been published in the United States in the year current to the official year of the award; the presentation ceremony is held a year later. The Lambda Literary Foundation states that its mission is "to celebrate LGBT literature and provide resources for writers, readers, booksellers, publishers, and librarians - the whole literary community."

Jessie Chandler American novelist

Jessie Chandler is an American author of mystery and humorous caper fiction, most of which is about lesbian protagonists. Her work includes the Shay O'Hanlon Caper Series, many short stories, and other novels. Chandler has presented talks about the craft of writing, serves as a mentor to many up-and-coming writers, and is a contributing member of The Golden Crown Literary Society, Sisters in Crime, and serves on the board of Mystery Writers of America.

Beth Bernobich is an American science fiction and fantasy writer. She also goes by the pen name Claire O'Dell. She was born in Lansdowne, Pennsylvania in 1959. Her first novel, Passion Play was published by Tor Books in October 2010, and won the Romantic Times 2010 Reviewer's Choice Award for Best Epic Fantasy. Her novel, A Study in Honor was published by Harper Voyager in July 2018 and won he 2019 Lambda Literary Award for Lesbian Mystery.

Jane Fletcher is an English writer of lesbian speculative fiction. Her The Walls of Westenfort won the Golden Crown Literary Society's 2005 "Sci-Fi / Fantasy / Horror / Paranormal / Speculative" award, and her The Empress and the Acolyte won its 2007 Speculative Fiction award. In 2009, she received The Alice B Readers Award for career achievement.

The Lambda Literary Award for Lesbian Mystery is an annual literary award, presented by the Lambda Literary Foundation, to a mystery novel by or about lesbians. The award was established in 1989 and ran until 2020 when the Foundation combined all mystery awards into a single Lambda Literary Award for Mystery.

The Lambda Literary Award for Erotica is an annual literary award established in 2002 and presented by the Lambda Literary Foundation that awards books with LGBT characters and "whose content is principally of an erotic nature." "Anthologies, novels, novellas, graphic novels, memoirs, and short story collections" are eligible for the award.

Fletcher DeLancey is an American science fiction writer, best known for her Chronicles of Alsea series, which has twice made her a finalist for the Lambda Literary Award for Science Fiction, Fantasy and Horror.

The Chronicles of Alsea is a science fiction book series by Fletcher DeLancey, consisting of ten novels: The Caphenon (2015), Without a Front: The Producer's Challenge (2015), Without a Front: The Warrior’s Challenge (2015), Catalyst (2016), Vellmar the Blade (2016), Outcaste (2017), Resilience (2018), Uprising (2019), Alsea Rising: Gathering Storm (2020), and Alsea Rising: The Seventh Star (2020). Brad Boney is an American author of gay and lesbian fiction. Two of his novels have been finalists for the Lambda Literary Award for Gay Romance.
