Richard Goldgewicht (born June 10, 1975) is a Brazilian filmmaker based in Los Angeles. [1] [2] He is known for his fiction, documentary, and animation work. [3] [4] [5]
Goldgewicht was born on June 10, 1975, in Rio de Janeiro. [6] [7] [8] He made his debut with the feature animated documentary Pablo at the Rotterdam Film Festival in 2012. [3] [9] [10]
In 2018, Goldgewicht released "A Thousand Kisses" at the Annecy Film Festival. In 2024, Goldgewicht is set to release "The Alvarado," [11] a documentary exploring masculinity during the age of cancel culture. [12] [13]
Goldgewicht has directed series for the BBC and a six-episode biographical series about Brazilian music producer Lincoln Olivetti. [14] [15] [16] He also created and directed the Comedy Central special Ice for Iceland for Earth Day 2018. [17] [18]
In 2021, RG Films, Goldgewicht's production company, won 3 Telly Awards for the Provivi Farmer's Campaign, promoting a novel pheromone-based organic protection product. [19] [20] [21] The campaign includes filming in Indonesia, Mexico, and Kenya. [22] [23] [24]
