Richard Hooper (born 30 December 1976) is a New Zealand cricket umpire. [1] [2] He has stood in matches in the Plunket Shield in New Zealand and the Sunfoil Series in South Africa. [3] [4]

Prior to the February 2011 Christchurch earthquake, Hooper lived with his wife and their two girls in Rolleston. His wife, Amanda Hooper, died in the collapse of the PGC Building during the earthquake. [5] Since the earthquake, Hooper has moved to New Plymouth, and found a new partner with whom he had a daughter in 2015. [6]

Thomas Ackland Blundell is a New Zealand cricketer. He made his international debut for the New Zealand national cricket team in January 2017. He also plays first-class cricket for Wellington. Blundell was a member of the New Zealand team that won the 2019–2021 ICC World Test Championship. He was one of the recipients of the Wisden Cricketers of the Year award in 2023.

Nathan Gregory Smith is a New Zealand cricketer. He made his first-class debut for Otago on 30 March 2016 in the 2015–16 Plunket Shield. The 2016–17 Plunket Shield was the 88th season of official first-class cricket in New Zealand. The competition started on 22 October 2016, and ran to 1 April 2017. The round seven fixtures that started in early March 2017, were played as day/night matches. These were in preparation for a possible day/night Test match between New Zealand and England, scheduled to take place in March 2018. Despite some concerns about the visibility of the pink ball while catching, the matches received positive feedback.

The England cricket team toured New Zealand between February and April 2018 to play two Test and five One Day International (ODI) matches. Fixtures in round 7 of New Zealand's 2016–17 Plunket Shield season were played as day/night matches, in preparation for a day/night Test match, which took place at Eden Park. In August 2017, New Zealand Cricket confirmed that the Test at Eden Park would be played as a day/night game. In September 2017, the second ODI fixture was moved from McLean Park, Napier to the Bay Oval in Mount Maunganui, after issues in re-turfing the ground.

He made his Twenty20 debut on 27 December 2020, for Northern Districts, against Central Stags in the 2020–21 Super Smash. The tournament took place from October 2021 to April 2022. In July 2021, New Zealand Cricket named all the squads for the domestic teams ahead of the 2021–22 season. Canterbury were the defending champions.
