Richard Charles Margison, OC (born 16 July 1953) is a Canadian operatic tenor and lives in Stouffville, Ontario, Canada. [1]
Margison began his career in Victoria, BC, where, he sang folk songs in the coffeehouses and clubs. [1] He appeared on CBC's Search for the Stars in 1981.
In 2007, Margison and opera director Valerie Kuinka, founded the Highlands Opera Studio, a training program for emerging operatic professionals. [2]
Margison was named an Officer of the Order of Canada in 2001 [1] and was inducted into the Canadian Opera Hall of Fame in 2003. [3] Margison received the Queen Elizabeth II Golden Jubilee Medal in 2002 [4] and Queen Elizabeth II Diamond Jubilee Medal in 2012. [5]

Herbert Henry Carnegie, CM, O.Ont, OMC was a Canadian ice hockey player of Jamaican descent. After his playing career was over, he became a successful businessman working in the investment industry. In 1954, he founded one of Canada's first hockey schools, Future Aces, and through his work in training young hockey players, became a member of both the Order of Ontario and the country's highest civilian award, the Order of Canada. His hockey career was recognized when he was inducted into Canada's Sports Hall of Fame in 2001, and the Ontario Sports Hall of Fame in 2014, and the Hockey Hall of Fame in 2022.

The monarchy of Jamaica is a system of government in which a hereditary monarch is the sovereign and head of state of Jamaica. The current Jamaican monarch and head of state, since 8 September 2022, is King Charles III. As sovereign, he is the personal embodiment of the Jamaican Crown. Although the person of the sovereign is equally shared with 14 other independent countries within the Commonwealth of Nations, each country's monarchy is separate and legally distinct. There are four versions of the medal: one issued by the United Kingdom, another by Canada, the third for the Caribbean realms of Antigua and Barbuda, the Bahamas, Barbados, Grenada, Jamaica, Saint Kitts and Nevis, Saint Lucia, and Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, and the fourth issued by Papua New Guinea. The ribbons used with the Canadian and British versions of the medal are the same, while the ribbon of the Caribbean and the Papua New Guinean medal differ slightly. The different iterations of the medal were presented to tens of thousands of recipients throughout the Commonwealth realms in the jubilee year.

Isabel George Auld was the chancellor of the University of Manitoba from 1977 to 1986. Before becoming the first woman to hold this position, Auld primarily worked as a volunteer from the 1940s to 1960s. During this time period, she co-founded the Consumers' Association of Canada in 1953 and became the association's president in 1964. Leading up to 1977, Auld was part of the board of directors for Manitoba and the admissions committee for the university's dentistry department. Following her career, Auld became a Member of the Order of Canada in 1989. She also received the Queen Elizabeth II Golden Jubilee Medal in 2002 and the Queen Elizabeth II Diamond Jubilee Medal in 2012.
