Richard West (born 19 July 1985) is a Jamaican footballer.

Playing career

West began playing in the KSAFA Super League with Santos F.C. in 2003. [1] In 2004, he played in the country's top flight league the National Premier League with Waterhouse F.C., and won a JFF Champions Cup. The following season he signed with rivals Harbour View F.C. In 2006, he signed with Tivoli Gardens F.C. and during his tenure with the club he won the National Premier League in 2009, and the JFF Champions Cup in 2006. In 2011, he went overseas to Canada to sign with Brampton City United FC of the Canadian Soccer League. [2] [3] In his debut season he finished as the club's top goalscorer and the second highest goalscorer within the league with 17 goals. He helped the club secure a postseason berth by finishing fourth in the overall standings. He featured in the first round of the playoffs where they faced Serbian White Eagles, but were eliminated by a score of 8–0 on goals on aggregate. [4] [5]

In 2012, he signed with league powerhouse the Serbian White Eagles, and scored a goal in his debut match on 11 May 2012 against London City. [6] [7] He secured a postseason berth for the club by finishing sixth in the overall standings. In the quarterfinals of the playoffs he recorded the winning goal in a 1–0 victory against SC Toronto. [8] In the next round the White Eagles faced their arch-rivals Toronto Croatia, but were eliminated by a score 4–0. [9] The following season he was transferred over to York Region Shooters. [10] In his debut season with York Region he finished as the club's top goalscorer with 19 goals, and finished as runners-up in the regular season. In the postseason the club faced London City, but suffered a defeat in penalties. [11]

In the 2014 season he helped York Region achieve an undefeated season claiming the regular season title. In the postseason he contributed by scoring a goal in a 3–0 victory over Brampton. [12] In the CSL Championship finals they faced Toronto Croatia where West scored the equalizing goal which sent the game to penalties where York Region won the shootout by a score of 5–4. [13] In 2015, he won the CSL Golden Boot by finishing as the league's top goalscorer with 23 goals. [14] In the postseason he scored a hat-trick in a 4–2 victory over Burlington SC. [15] In the next round York Region were eliminated by Toronto Croatia by a score of 3–2.[ citation needed ]

In 2018, he signed with Unionville Milliken SC in League1 Ontario. [16]

International career

West made his debut for the Jamaica national football team on 24 November 2004 in a Qualifying Caribbean Zone match against Saint Martin where he scored a goal in a 12–0 victory. [17] [18] [19] [20]

The team's colours were blue and white, mirroring those of the Italy national team and reflecting the cultural heritage of the club. The club had also competed under various different names as Vaughan Sun Devils, Vaughan Shooters, Italia Shooters, and finally as York Region Shooters.

Nicholas Lindsay is a Canadian soccer player who began his career at the academy level with TFC Academy in the Canadian Soccer League (CSL) in 2009. The season began on Saturday 6 May 2011, and concluded on 29 October 2011. Toronto Croatia won their fourth championship in a 1–0 victory over Capital City F.C. in the CSL Championship final at Centennial Park Stadium in Toronto. The regular season saw SC Toronto claim their second regular season title, while Mississauga Eagles FC B won their first Second Division championship. The season saw an increase in membership to 14 teams the largest number since the 2002 season. The new entries saw the return of professional soccer to the communities of Windsor, Mississauga, and Ottawa.

Hugo Herrera is an Argentine former association football forward who had stints in South America, and most notably in the Canadian Soccer League with the Brampton Stallions and Toronto Croatia. During his tenure within the CSL he won three CSL Championships and two Croatian World Club Championship.

SC Waterloo Region is a professional Canadian soccer team that plays in the Canadian Soccer League, a non-FIFA-sanctioned league. The club was formed in 2011 under the name KW United FC and competed in the Second Division of the CSL. The following year the organization's name was changed to SC Waterloo Region and was promoted to the First Division. Within a short time Waterloo enjoyed a string of success within the league. Toronto Croatia defended their championship in a 1–0 victory over the Montreal Impact Academy in the CSL Championship final at Centennial Park Stadium in Toronto. Montreal became the second Quebec club after Trois-Rivières Attak to reach the final, while Toronto added more silverware to their cabinet by winning the double during the regular season. In the Second Division SC Toronto B won their first Second Division championship, and TFC Academy II secured the regular season title.

The 2014 Canadian Soccer League season was the 17th since its establishment where a total of 20 teams from Ontario took part in the league. The season began on May 24, 2014, and concluded on October 26, 2014. York Region Shooters won their second championship in a 5–4 victory in a penalty shootout over Toronto Croatia in the CSL Championship final held at Esther Shiner Stadium in Toronto. York Region became the second club in the league's history to produce a perfect season, and championship after the Toronto Olympians in the 1999 season.

Halton United are a Canadian soccer club based in Milton, Ontario, and is a member of the Canadian Academy of Soccer League. The club was formed in 2013 and became a member of the Canadian Soccer League (CSL) under the name Burlington SC. They played their home matches at Nelson Stadium in Burlington, Ontario. After three seasons in the CSL the club disbanded their CSL senior team in order to become one of the founding members of the CAF Supergroup Open Division. The 2010 CSL season was the 13th season in York Region Shooters participation in the Canadian Soccer League. The club ended their CSL campaign by claiming their third division title by finishing first in the First Division. In the postseason York Region faced an early departure after a defeat to Toronto Croatia in the preliminary round.

The 2011 CSL season was the 14th season in York Region Shooters participation in the Canadian Soccer League. The club ended their CSL campaign by securing the final postseason berth in the First Division. In the postseason York Region defeated division champions SC Toronto in the preliminary round, but were eliminated from the competition in the following round to Toronto Croatia. While in the Second Division their reserve team clinched a playoff berth after finishing third in the East Conference standings. Kadian Lecky was Vaughan's top goalscorer for the sixth consecutive time scoring a personal record of 15 goals.
