Rico Dashon Ramos (born June 20, 1987) is an American professional boxer of Puerto Rican descent. [1] He is a former WBA world super bantamweight champion.
Ramos began boxing when he was 8 years old at South LA's Broadway Boxing Gym. During his amateur career he was an Olympic alternate and won the 2007 National PAL championship. In November 2008, Ramos asked Darnell Walker to train him after he suffered a severe hand injury. While Ramos was under Walker's instruction, he went undefeated, capturing the WBO/NABO Title by defeating Alejandro Pérez.
In 2007 he also was the runner up at the U.S. National Championships, losing to U.S. Olympian Raynell Williams. [2]
Currently Ramos is promoted by Goossen Tutor Promotions and managed by Al Haymon. [3]
On March 5, 2010 [4] Rico got a 4th round K.O. over veteran Cecilio Santos, on ESPN's Friday Night Fights.
On November 8, 2010 Rico got a 2nd round K.O. over Heriberto Ruiz in North Carolina. [5] Rico then claimed his 19th win in a tough fight against Alejandro Valdez by unanimous decision in Atlantic City, taking his next step towards his dream of becoming world champion.
He fought for Akifumi Shimoda's WBA super bantamweight title at the Boardwalk Hall in Atlantic City, New Jersey, United States on July 9, 2011. He defeated Akifumi Shimoda by KO in the 7th round to win the WBA title. [6]

Jorge Armando Arce Armenta, best known as Jorge Arce, is a Mexican former professional boxer who competed from 1996 to 2014. He is a multiple-time world champion, and the second boxer from Mexico to win world titles in four weight divisions. In a storied career, Arce held the WBO light flyweight title from 1998 to 1999; the WBC and lineal light flyweight titles from 2002 to 2004; the WBO super flyweight title in 2010; the WBO junior featherweight title in 2011; and the WBO bantamweight title from 2011 to 2012. Additionally he held the WBC interim flyweight title from 2005 to 2006, the WBA interim super flyweight title from 2008 to 2009, and challenged once for the WBC featherweight title in his final fight in 2014.

Nonito Donaire vs. Guillermo Rigondeaux was a super bantamweight professional boxing match contested between WBO and The Ring champion Nonito Donaire and WBA (Super) champion Guillermo Rigondeaux. The bout took place at Radio City Music Hall in New York City on April 13, 2013 and was televised on HBO. Entering the bout, Donaire had a record of 31–1 and had made three successful defenses of the WBO title he had won by defeating Wilfredo Vazquez, Jr. Rigondeaux, meanwhile, was undefeated in his eleven fights and was fighting for the fourth time as champion; he won the WBA interim title by defeating Ricardo Cordoba in November 2010 and defeated Rico Ramos to become official champion in January 2012.
