Rie Matsumoto (松本 理恵, Matsumoto Rie, born 1985) is a Japanese anime director and storyboard artist.

Career

Matsumoto has risen to prominence for being one of the youngest anime directors and one of the few women directors in the industry. She first began working as assistant and episode director for several anime based on the Pretty Cure franchise in the late 2000s. In 2010, she directed the film HeartCatch PreCure The Movie: Fashion Show in the Flower Capital... Really?! , her first work as head director. She directed the ONA Kyōsōgiga in 2012, which was well received. [1] [2] More recently, her direction of 2015's Blood Blockade Battlefront earned her praise. [3]

Witchy PreCure!, also known as Maho Girls PreCure!, is a 2016 Japanese anime television series by Toei Animation and Bandai and the thirteenth installment in Izumi Todo and Bandai's Pretty Cure metaseries, featuring the eleventh generation of Cures. The series, directed by Masato Mitsuka and written by Isao Murayama with character design by Emiko Miyamoto, aired on ANN television stations between February 2016 and January 2017, succeeding Go! Leonardo Watch is a fictional character from Yasuhiro Nightow's manga and anime series Blood Blockade Battlefront. Leonardo is a kind and humble young photographer who came to alien Hellsalem's Lot to help his ailing sister. An unknown entity gave him the "All Seeing Eyes of the Gods", granting him a variety of powerful ocular powers, at the cost of his sister's sight. In order to provide for his sister, Leonardo finds a new job as member of the Libra Organization who are to clear the streets of trouble and prevent the horrors of this city from spreading to the outside world. He is voiced by Ryōta Ōsaka in the vcomic, Daisuke Sakaguchi in the anime series and Aaron Dismuke in the English dub.

Rie Hikisaka is a Japanese voice actor affiliated with Stay Luck. After participating in Stay Luck as a workshop student in 2015, she made her debut as a voice actor in 2016. She was inspired by Inuyasha, as well as Pretty Cure.

Masahiro Mukai is a Japanese anime director. In 2004, he joined Sunrise and worked on Mobile Suit Gundam SEED Destiny. After leaving Sunrise, he was put in charge of directing Hyperdimension Neptunia: The Animation in 2013 and Trickster in 2017.
