The Riga Grand Prix was a one day cycling race held in Riga, Latvia. It was part of UCI Europe Tour in category 1.2 from 2006 to 2012 and was upgraded to 1.1 in 2013. [1]

Jaan Kirsipuu is an Estonian former road bicycle racer, who currently works as a directeur sportif for UCI Continental team Voltas–Tartu 2024 by CCN.
Tomas Vaitkus is a Lithuanian professional road racing cyclist riding for UCI Continental team Rietumu Banka–Riga. Vaitkus, nicknamed Tomas the Tank Engine, made his Tour de France debut in the 2007 edition but had to abandon after a serious crash at the end of stage two. Team RadioShack announced that he would be joining the team in 2010. He rejoined Astana in 2011. On 29 August 2011, it was announced that Vaitkus would join GreenEDGE for its inaugural season in 2012.
Russell Downing is an English former professional cyclist, who rode competitively between 1999 and 2019 for numerous teams, such as Team Sky and JLT–Condor. He is the younger brother of fellow cyclist Dean Downing, and both brothers competed largely on the UCI Continental Tour and in British Premier Calendar races.
Francesco Chicchi is an Italian retired professional road bicycle racer, who competed as a professional between 2003 and 2016 for the Fassa Bortolo, Liquigas–Doimo, Omega Pharma–Quick-Step, Neri Sottoli and Androni Giocattoli–Sidermec squads.
Erki Pütsep is an Estonian professional road bicycle racer who last rode for the Alpha Baltic–Unitymarathons.com team. He is the three time national road race champion and won the E.O.S. Tallinn GP in 2007. In 2011 he won Baltic Chain Tour, which was held in Lithuania, Latvia and Estonia.

Ludovic Capelle is a Belgian former professional road racing cyclist. He was professional from 1998 until 2009, riding for Ville de Charleroi–New Systems (1998–2000), AG2R Prévoyance (2001–2002), Landbouwkrediet–Colnago (2003–2005), Roubaix–Lille Métropole (2007), Rietumu Banka–Riga (2008) and Continental Team Differdange (2009). Gatis Smukulis is a Latvian former professional road bicycle racer, who rode professionally between 2009 and 2018 for the Ag2r–La Mondiale, HTC–Highroad, Team Katusha, Astana and Delko–Marseille Provence KTM teams. Smukulis won the Latvian National Road Race Championships in 2016, and won six consecutive Latvian National Time Trial Championships between 2011 and 2016.

It was the junior-level complement to the 2013–14 ISU Grand Prix of Figure Skating, in which senior-level skaters will compete. The 2017 Grand Prix Miguel Indurain was a one-day road cycling race that took place on 1 April 2017. It was the 68th edition of the GP Miguel Indurain and was rated as a 1.1 event as part of the 2017 UCI Europe Tour.
The FIDE Grand Prix 2019 was a series of four chess tournaments that formed part of the qualification cycle for the World Chess Championship 2021. The top two finishers who had not yet qualified, qualified for the Candidates Tournament 2020–21. The top non-qualifying finisher is eligible for the wild card. The series is organized by World Chess, formerly known as Agon. Alexander Grischuk won the FIDE Grand Prix 2019 and thus became the first player to qualify for the Candidates Tournament via the event. Ian Nepomniachtchi, who finished in second place, was the other qualifier, while Maxime Vachier-Lagrave, by finishing third, became eligible for the wild card. Maxime Vachier-Lagrave eventually got a place in the Candidates after Teimour Radjabov withdrew from the tournament as he was the first reserve.
