Rigomane is a town in the north-central Mudug region of Somalia. It is situated between Galdogob and Galkayo, the provincial capital.

The Battle of Bandiradley in Somalia began on December 23, 2006, when Puntland and Ethiopian forces, along with faction leader Abdi Qeybdid, fought Islamic Courts Union (ICU) militants defending Bandiradley. The fighting pushed the Islamists out of Bandiradley and over the border south into Adado district, Galgadud region, by December 25.

Galmudug

Galmudug officially Galmudug State(Somali: Dowladda Galmudug ee Soomaaliya) is an autonomous region in central Somalia. It is bordered to the north by the Puntland region, to the west by Ogadenia, to the east by Somali Sea and to the south by Hirshabelle.

The 1982 Ethiopian–Somali Border War occurred between June and August 1982 when Ethiopia, sending a 10,000 man invasion force backed by warplanes and armored units, supported by hundreds of SSDF rebels invaded Central Somalia. Siad Barre's regime managed to ultimately repel most of the rebel offensive through declaring a state of emergency in the war zone. The United States government responded by speeding up deliveries of light arms and Pattons already promised. In addition, the initially pledged US$45 million in economic and military aid was increased to US$80 million.
