Rilindja Tower is a government office building for the Government of Kosovo. At 89 meters high it hold 19 floors.

The building offers government offices for 4 ministries in Kosovo. The building was created when Kosovo was under Yugoslavia's government. [1] Its close to many points of interest in Pristina. Such as the Palace of Youth and Sports and Fadil Vokrri Stadium. The architect Bhgjet Pacolli and his construction group mabetex reconstructed the tower. [2]

Fadil Hoxha

Fadil Hoxha was an Albanian communist revolutionary and politician from Kosovo. He was a member of the Communist party and fought in the Yugoslav Partisans during the World War II. After the war, he was the first President of the Executive Council of the Autonomous Region of Kosovo and Metohija (1945-1963) and later member of the Presidency of Yugoslavia (1974-1984).

The Tennis Federation of Kosovo is a governing body of tennis in Kosovo. It was established in 1996 in Peć. The Federation currently oversees eleven tennis clubs.

Mark Krasniqi

Mark Krasniqi was an Albanian ethnographer, publicist, writer, and translator.

Albanian comics, though not well known internationally, were produced mainly by comic-authors from Kosovo. Until recently there was no comic tradition in Albania where comics were seen as junk literature known as fumeti supposedly because pop art was prohibited by the dictatorial communist regime. Today there is one comic magazine published in Kosovo called Leon, and there is Tafë Kusuri comic-strip together with Garfield and Calvin and Hobbes published by Koha Ditore newspaper.

The literature of Kosovo is composed of literary texts written in the Albanian, Serbian, Bosnian and Turkish language, specifically by authors of Kosovo. Kosovo produced several prominent writers in the Ottoman era. However, Ottoman authorities banned the written use of the Albanian language until 1912. This policy continued during Serb rule until the outbreak of World War II.

Rilindja was a Kosovo Albanian newspaper and book publisher. It was the first newspaper in Albanian in Yugoslavia.

Bazaar of Pristina

The Bazaar of Prishtina, Kosovo, was the core merchandising center of the Old Prishtina since the 15th century, when it was built. It played a significant role in the physical, economic, and social development of Pristina. The Old Bazaar was destroyed during the 1950s and 1960s, following the modernization slogan of "Destroy the old, build the new". In its place, buildings of Kosovo Assembly, Municipality of Prishtina, PTT, and Brotherhood and Unity socialist square were built. Nowadays, instead of PTT building resides the Government of Kosovo building. Only few historical buildings, such as the Bazaar Mosque and ruins of the Bazaar Hammam have remained from the Bazaar complex. Since then, Prishtina has lost part of its identity, and its cultural heritage has been scattered.

Architecture of Kosovo

The architecture of Kosovo dates back to the Neolithic period and includes the Copper, Bronze and Iron Ages, Antiquity and the Medieval period. It has been influenced by the presence of different civilizations and religions as evidenced by the structures which have survived to this day. Local builders have combined building techniques of conquering empires with the materials at hand and the existing conditions to develop their own varieties of dwellings.

Sadik Rama was a Kosovo Albanian kaçak guerrilla fighter who fought against the Serbian annexation of Kosovo in 1912. Following the Ottoman defeat, he continued to participate along Isa Boletini and Bajram Curri in the national revolt of 1913–14 in Llapushe. He joined the kaçak guerrillas in 1919 with support from the Committee for the National Defence of Kosovo. He fought alongside Azem Bejta during his lifetime.

Daut Demaku born on October 13, 1944 in the Abria village, is Albanian writer and lecturer of the course "The Art of Positive Thinking".

Besim Sahatçiu was a Kosovo Albanian director of theatre and film.

Lulzim Tafa is a Kosovan educator, professor and poet. He serves as Rector of AAB University,

Azem Shkreli was an Albanian writer, poet, director and producer. He was head of the Kosovo Writers' Association, manager of the National Theatre of Kosovo in Prishtina and founder and manager of Kosovafilm, a film production, distribution and screening company.

The Zeynullah Bey Tower House is a cultural heritage monument in Balince, Vučitrn, Kosovo.
