Silat Melayu, also known as Seni Persilatan Melayu or simply Silat, is a combative art of self-defence from the Malay world, that employs langkah ('steps') and jurus ('movements') to ward off or to strike assaults, either with or without weapons. Silat traced its origin to the early days of Malay civilisation, and has since developed into a fine tradition of physical and spiritual training that embodies aspects of traditional Malay attire, performing art and adat. The philosophical foundation of modern Malay Silat is largely based on the Islamic spirituality. Its moves and shapes are rooted from the basis of Silat movements called Bunga Silat, and Silat performances are normally accompanied with Malay drum assembles.
Music of Malaysia is the generic term for music that has been created in various genres in Malaysia. Hang Tuah was a warrior who lived in Malacca during the reign of Sultan Mansur Shah in the 15th century. Pencak silat is an umbrella term for a class of related Indonesian martial arts. In neighbouring countries, the term usually refers to professional competitive silat. Baju Melayu is a traditional Malay costume, originated from the court of Malacca, Malaysia and is traditionally worn by men in Brunei, Malaysia, Singapore, parts of Indonesia, southern Philippines, and southern Thailand. It literally translates as Malay dress and consists of two main parts. The first being the baju itself which has a raised stiff collar known as the cekak musang collar. The second part is the trousers called seluar. The two parts are made out of the same type of fabric which is usually cotton, or a mixture of polyester and cotton. A skirt-type adornment is also commonly worn with the Baju Melayu, which is either the kain samping, made out of songket, tenun cloth or the kain sarung, made out of cotton or a polyester mix. Both are loops of fabric that are folded around the wearer's waist. A jet-black or dark-colored headgear called the songkok can also worn to complete the attire.
Seni Gayung Fatani is a martial art, specifically a style of silat from Malaysia based on the art of war, the combination punch and kick striking, joint-locking and grappling techniques, and various type of melee weapon. In Malay, the word seni means art and gayung is a word for martial arts, synonymous with silat. Fatani means wise in Arabic and was chosen in 1976 by the councils of Guru Tua. The first grandmaster of the silat is Tuan Guru Hj Anuar Abd. Wahab. Tuan Guru Aminuddin Haji Anuar is the current Grandmaster of Seni Gayung Fatani Malaysia.

These 3 princes was later mark as the kickstart for the next 3 big empires in Malay Archipelago. Those empires were the Kingdom of Majapahit, The Malacca Sultanate and the Pagaruyung Kingdom around the 12th century.

The Malay Dignity rally was a rally that took place on 16 September 2015 in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. The rally was organised by National Silat Federation, a silat Melayu federation of Malaysia. The rally aimed to counter the Bersih 4 rally and to show support for the incumbent Prime Minister of Malaysia, Najib Razak and his government. 16 September is the day of Malaysia's establishment. The rally organiser, also an UMNO Supreme Council member, Annuar Musa admitted that the rally was racist in nature and participants were paid to take part in the rally. Medias reported that some of the participants who were ferried into Kuala Lumpur by buses from various parts of the country revealed they were clueless about the purpose of the rally, saying they were given the red T-shirts, while an independent polling centre found that only 24% of Malays supported the rally, and 53% opposed it.

Showcasing the traditional Malay silat martial art, it tells the story of two siblings in a silat family who has to find their younger brother as he ran away with the land grant, and bring him back to their father.
Warta Negara was a northern-Malaysian Malay-language daily newspaper written in Jawi script. It was first published in 1945. The newspaper was originally printed in four pages, but later editions included a two-page and six-page format. The newspaper mostly covers general stories and news reports of contemporary Malaya and early-Malaysia. Publication of the newspaper ceased in 1969.
