Rob Robinson (born September 25, 1977) [1] is an American football coach and former player. He is formerly the head football coach at Northeastern State University in Tahlequah, Oklahoma. [2] Robinson was announced as the new head coach on December 19, 2013, replacing Kenny Evans . [3] Before becoming head coach at Northeastern State, Robinson was an assistant coach and offensive coordinator at Washburn. [4] It was announced in October 2018, that his contract would not be renewed. [5] Robinson resigned on October 31, 2018, with only two season games left. [6]
Robinson was a four-year letterman and three-year starter playing as a fullback at William Jewell College. In both 1997 and 1998, Robinson was the Special Teams Player of the Year, was an all-conference selection his junior year, and was named to the Player's Leadership Committee and All-Heart of America Athletic Conference Third Team as a senior. [7]
Robinson and his wife, Jess, have two sons beckett and tabor and one daughter grier. [8]

Robert Anthony Stoops is an American football coach who was the head football coach at the University of Oklahoma from 1999 through the 2016 season, and on an interim basis during the 2021 Alamo Bowl. He led the Oklahoma Sooners to a record of 191–48 over his career. His 2000 Oklahoma Sooners football team won the 2001 Orange Bowl, which served as the BCS National Championship Game, and earned a consensus national championship. In 2020, Stoops was head coach and general manager for the Dallas Renegades of the XFL.
Joshua Kenneth Heupel is an American football coach and former player. He is the head football coach at the University of Tennessee. Heupel was the architect of a unit that ranked in the FBS top 10 in points per game in each of his three seasons as UCF Head Coach—eighth in 2020 (42.2), fifth in 2019 (43.4) and sixth in 2018 (43.2). The Knights also ranked in the top five in the FBS in total offense per game in each of those three seasons—second in 2020 (568.1), second in 2019 (540.5) and fourth in 2018 (522.7).
Charles Franklin Long Jr. is a former American football player and coach who was most recently the offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach for the St. Louis BattleHawks of the XFL. He played quarterback in college at Iowa for Hayden Fry and professionally with the Detroit Lions and the Los Angeles Rams. He was inducted into the College Football Hall of Fame in 1999. After his professional career, Long was an assistant coach at Iowa and Oklahoma before serving as the head football coach at San Diego State. Long also held a position as the offensive coordinator for the Kansas Jayhawks under head coach Turner Gill. Long is the CEO and Executive Director of the Iowa Sports Foundation, the organization that runs the Iowa Games, the Senior Games, Adaptive Sports Iowa, Iowa Corporate Games and the Live Healthy Iowa challenge, as well as an analyst for the Big Ten Network.
Shane Montgomery is an American football coach and former player. He is the offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach at the University at Buffalo. Montgomery served as the head football coach at Miami University from 2005 to 2008, compiling a record of 17–31.
Alfred Theodore Tollner is a former American football player and coach. He had served as the head coach at the University of Southern California (USC) from 1983 to 1986 and San Diego State University (SDSU) from 1994 to 2001, compiling an overall college football record of 69–68–1. Mark Hutson is an American football coach and former player. He is currently the offensive line coach at Tennessee State University. Hutson played college football at the University of Oklahoma, where he was a consensus selection at offensive guard to the 1987 College Football All-America Team. He was selected by the Dallas Cowboys in the third round of the 1988 NFL Draft, but an injury ended his playing career before making any regular season appearances in the National Football League (NFL). Hutson served as the interim head football coach at Eastern Illinois University for the 2006 season and at Tulane University for the final six games of the 2011 season.

In 2012, Northeastern State became member of the Mid-America Intercollegiate Athletics Association (MIAA), and has remained in the league. NSU's home games are played at Doc Wadley Stadium in Tahlequah, Oklahoma.

The Central Oklahoma–Northeastern State football rivalry, commonly referred to as the Battle for the President's Cup, is an American college football rivalry game played annually between the Central Oklahoma Bronchos football team of the University of Central Oklahoma from Edmond, Oklahoma, and the Northeastern State RiverHawks football team of Northeastern State University from Tahlequah, Oklahoma. Both schools currently compete in the NCAA Division II level, and are members of the Mid-America Intercollegiate Athletics Association (MIAA). Central Oklahoma, formerly Central State, has a 52–27–2 advantage in the series but Northeastern State has kept the series record close since the introduction of the President's cup in 1998.
Lincoln Michael Riley is an American college football coach and former player who is the head coach of the USC Trojans football program at the University of Southern California. He previously served as the head coach at the University of Oklahoma for five seasons from 2017 to 2021, where he won four consecutive Big 12 Championship Games and lost three times in the College Football Playoff. With a record of 55–10 (.846), Riley left his previous program holding the Sooners' all-time record for winning percentage as a head coach, edging out such Hall of Fame greats as Bud Wilkinson, Barry Switzer, and his coaching mentor, Bob Stoops.
Last Chance U is an American documentary streaming television series that is produced and premiered by Netflix. The six-episode first season explores the football program at East Mississippi Community College, which features several collegiate athletes that have had trouble in their lives and struggled with finding structure. The players are then required to perform at the junior college (JUCO) level, under the stewardship of coach Buddy Stephens, in order to prove themselves and return to Division I.
The 2016 Northeastern State RiverHawks football team represented Northeastern State University in the 2016 NCAA Division II football season. The RiverHawks played their home games on Gable Field in Doc Wadley Stadium in Tahlequah, Oklahoma, as they have done since 1915. 2016 was the 102nd season in school history. The RiverHawks were led by third-year head coach, Rob Robinson. Northeastern State has been a member of the Mid-America Intercollegiate Athletics Association since 2012.

He currently serves as the athletic director at the University of Central Oklahoma in Edmond, Oklahoma. Tim Albin is an American football coach and former player. He is currently the head coach at Ohio University. He served as the head football coach at Northwestern Oklahoma State from 1997 through 1999. In 1999, he led the Northwestern Oklahoma State Rangers to an undefeated 13–0 record, with the season culminating in a NAIA National Championship.

J. J. Eckert is an American football coach. He is the current head football coach at Northeastern State University in Tahlequah, Oklahoma. He was previously head coach at Kilgore College in Texas and Garden City Community College in Kansas. Eckert is also the son of long-time Northeastern State head coach Tom Eckert.
