Robby Blackwell (born September 21, 1986 in Dallas, Texas) is an American singer-songwriter, producer, and instrumentalist. He released his first single, "Killer" in 2011, [1] and co-founded the R&B/hip hop ensemble REDi in 2012. [2]

Biography

Early life

Robby Blackwell was born on September 21, 1985 and grew up in Dallas, Texas. The son of two teachers, he became involved with music at a young age – enrolling in choir, tap dance, hip hop, music production, piano and other instrument lessons. [1] He credits Pink Floyd, Prince, Kanye West, Michael Jackson, and Usher as among his musical influences. [3] He moved to Los Angeles after graduation to intern at Jive Records. [4]

Career

Blackwell's single "Killer" was released in June 2011. [1] Currently, he is working on an as-yet untitled EP. [3] Previously he worked for Sony, [3] going on to work with and perform with producer and guitarist Jon Redwine. [5] In 2012 he joined Redwine, Rob. A!, and Aundrus Poole in co-founding REDi, an urban pop ensemble [2] which has performed at South by Southwest in Austin, Texas and released one album. [6]

Arborea is an American psychedelic folk duo consisting of husband and wife Buck Curran and Shanti Curran. A, producer and songwriter Redwine, and actor/rapper Aundrus Poole. The group made their debut performance at SXSW, releasing their mix-tape Red Pill in late 2012.

TNGHT

TNGHT is a musical duo consisting of Scottish producer Hudson Mohawke and Canadian producer Lunice, formed in 2011. The duo released their self-titled debut EP to positive reviews in 2012. They announced an indefinite hiatus in late 2013, until their return in September 2019.
