Rangers Football Club is a Scottish professional football club based in the Govan district of Glasgow which plays in the Scottish Premiership. Although not its official name, it is often referred to as Glasgow Rangers outside Scotland. The fourth-oldest football club in Scotland, Rangers was founded by four teenage boys as they walked through West End Park in March 1872 where they discussed the idea of forming a football club, and played its first match against the now defunct Callander at the Fleshers' Haugh area of Glasgow Green in May of the same year. Rangers' home ground, Ibrox Stadium, designed by stadium architect Archibald Leitch and opened in 1929, is a Category B listed building and the third-largest football stadium in Scotland. The club has always played in royal blue shirts.

Robert Guérin was a French journalist, and the 1st President and one of the founders of the Fédération Internationale de Football Association (FIFA). A journalist with Le Matin newspaper, Guérin was actively involved in football through his role as secretary of the Football Department of the Union des Sociétés Françaises de Sports Athlétiques. He brought together representatives of the first seven member countries in Paris for the signing of FIFA's foundation act and agreement of the first FIFA statutes. On 23 May 1904, Guérin was elected president at the inaugural FIFA Congress and remained in his post for two years, during which time another eight associations came on board, including the Football Association.
Drumchapel Amateur Football Club is a football club from the village of Duntocher, near Clydebank in Scotland. Formed in 1950 in the Drumchapel area of the city of Glasgow, they are nicknamed "The Drum". The club presently competes in the Central Scottish Amateur Football League and is viewed as one of the top amateur clubs in the country, winning the Scottish Amateur Cup as recently as 2005.

Robert Walker Neill was a Scottish footballer in the early years of the sport. He played for Queen's Park, claiming the Scottish Cup in 1874, 1875, 1876 and 1880, and Scotland. Some years after retiring due to injury, he emigrated to Perth, Australia without the knowledge of his family.
Robert Calderwood was a Scottish footballer, who played for Cartvale, Cowlairs, Bootle and Scotland. Robert played three games for Scottish national team as a center forward position. Calderwood scored three goals for Scotland in the 1884–85 British Home Championship, but was then suspended by the Scottish Football Association for becoming a professional player by signing for English club Bootle, after which he appeared for Cowlairs in the (amateur-only) 1887–88 Scottish Cup. Roberts last match was on the Monday the 23rd march 1885. In his three international matches Robert played as a number nine against Wales for one match only and as a number eleven for his 1-1 draw with England and a 8-2 win against Northern Ireland.
