Robert Longerbeam (born January 18, 2001) [1] is an American football cornerback for the Rutgers Scarlet Knights.
Longerbeam attended T. C. Williams High School in Alexandria, Virginia, where he ran track in addition to playing football. [2] He was rated as a three-star recruit and committed to play college football for the Rutgers Scarlet Knights. [3]
During Longerbeam's first two seasons in 2020 and 2021, he appeared in 18 total games, notching 30 tackles, ten pass deflections, and two forced fumbles. [4] In 2022, he tallied 36 tackles with eight pass deflections and two interceptions in ten games while making six starts. [5] In week 7 of the 2023 season, Longerbeam notched four tackles, two forced fumbles, and a fumble recovery in a win over Michigan State. [6] He started every game for the Scarlet Knights that season, totaling 43 tackles with 11 pass deflections and an interception. [7] [8]

McCourty also played in the NFL for the Cleveland Browns, the New England Patriots, he ended his playing career with the Miami Dolphins. He primarily played cornerback throughout his first 11 NFL seasons, but moved to free safety while playing for the Miami Dolphins in 2021. His twin brother, Devin, also played in the NFL. In 2022, McCourty was hired by NFL Network to serve as an analyst on Good Morning Football, and by Westwood One to help call select Thursday Night Football radio broadcasts. In the fall of 2023, he was providing color commentary for college football telecasts on CBS.
