Robert Sarzo, nicknamed "The VuDu Man", is a Cuban-American guitarist. His career has spanned 40 years.
Sarzo has worked with an array of people in the entertainment industry. He was hired by Ozzy and Sharon Osbourne as the original replacement for Randy Rhoads. Sarzo never went on tour with Osbourne because Jet Records' Don Arden, also Sharon Osbourne's father, had hired a different guitarist, Bernie Tormé, without telling anyone.
Sarzo has worked with Interscope/Universal Record's Jimmy Iovine and legendary metal producers, Bob Ezrin and Mike Clink. He also worked with Robert Stigwood of "Saturday Night Fever" and Sergeant Pepper's Lonely Hearts" fame on numerous soundtracks such as "Times Square", D.L. Byron the writer of Pat Benatar's hit "Shadows of the Night", Reggae artist Garland Jeffreys, and the late Sam Kinison on his "Leader of the Banned" album. Robert formed his band Hurricane in the early 80's and went on to have hits such as "Over the Edge" and their #1 hit "I'm Onto You."
In the early 1980s, Robert was introduced to bassist Tony Cavazo by Los Angeles heavy metal band Quiet Riot's lead vocalist Kevin DuBrow. Both Robert's brother Rudy and Cavazo's brother Carlos were in Quiet Riot at the time. He later joined with Cavazo, singer Kelly Hansen and drummer Jay Schellen to form the glam metal band Hurricane.
He remained with Hurricane from 1985 until 1989. Although Hurricane released a reunion album ( Liquifury ) in 2001, Sarzo did not participate in this project. After many years in the studio, Sarzo worked to reform Hurricane in 2007. [1]
Not just a heavy metal/rock and roll guitarist with a classical background, Robert Sarzo has branched out to become a producer and movie music composer. His current projects include the movies, "The Hiss", written and produced by David Lynch's daughter, Jennifer, and the 2009 wide-release "The Collector" written and produced by Marcus Dunstan writer of Saw 4, 5, & 6. Robert will be working on "The Collector" sequel in 2011.
He has opened a recording studio in Sherman Oaks and is working with his brother, Rudy, on several upcoming projects. He is endorsed by Peavey guitars, Line 6 and ChromaCast.
On January 25, 2013, it was announced that Sarzo had joined Geoff Tate's lineup after he was expelled from Queensrÿche. This band already included his brother Rudy. This is the first time the Sarzo brothers have played together in a national act. [2] He replaced Glen Drover, who left two months earlier. [3]
In July 2013, Sarzo released his first solo album, After The Storm, nearly 30 years after recording it. The album was released on 4818 Records.

Queensrÿche is an American heavy metal band. It formed in 1982 in Bellevue, Washington, out of the local band the Mob. The band has released 16 studio albums, one EP, and several DVDs, and continues to tour and record. The original lineup consisted of guitarists Michael Wilton and Chris DeGarmo, drummer Scott Rockenfield, bassist Eddie Jackson, and lead vocalist Geoff Tate.

He was the co-founder and original guitarist of the heavy metal band Quiet Riot, and the guitarist and co-songwriter for Ozzy Osbourne's first two solo albums Blizzard of Ozz (1980) and Diary of a Madman (1981). Frankie Banali was an American rock drummer, most widely known for his work with heavy metal band Quiet Riot. His signature tone and iconic drum intros first became famous on their album Metal Health, which was the first metal album to hit number one on the Billboard charts and ushered in the 80's metal band era. He had been the band's manager since 1993. He played drums in the heavy metal band W.A.S.P., as well as with Billy Idol. Banali was briefly a touring drummer for Faster Pussycat and Steppenwolf. In the last few months of his life, he was also an abstract painter.
Geoff Tate is an American singer and songwriter. He rose to fame with the progressive metal band Queensrÿche, who had commercial success with their 1988 album Operation: Mindcrime and 1990 album Empire. Tate is ranked fourteenth on Hit Parader's list of the 100 Greatest Metal Vocalists of All Time. He was voted No. 2 on That Metal Show's top 5 hard rock vocalists of the 1980s. In 2012, he won the Vegas Rocks! Magazine Music Award for "Voice in Progressive Heavy Metal". In 2015, he placed ninth on OC Weekly's list of the 10 Best High-Pitched Metal Singers. After his farewell tour as Queensrÿche, he renamed his band Operation: Mindcrime, after the Queensrÿche album of the same name.

Glen Drover is a Canadian heavy metal guitarist from Ottawa, Ontario. He is best known as the former lead guitarist of Megadeth and King Diamond, along with his brother Shawn Drover who also performed with Megadeth.
Rodolfo Maximiliano Sarzo Lavieille Grande Ruiz Payret y Chaumont is a Cuban American hard rock/heavy metal bassist. He remains best known for his work with Quiet Riot, Ozzy Osbourne, and Whitesnake, and has also played with several well known heavy metal and hard rock acts including Manic Eden, Dio, Blue Öyster Cult, Geoff Tate's Queensrÿche, Devil City Angels, and the Guess Who. He re-joined Quiet Riot in 2021. Though not a founding member, he is the longest-serving member currently in the band.

Frequency Unknown is a studio album released under the name Queensrÿche; it was released by Geoff Tate's temporary version of the band, before a settlement determined that only the other band members were entitled to use the name Queensrÿche. The album was released on Cleopatra Records' sub label, Deadline Music, on April 23, 2013, as music download, on CD and limited edition vinyl LP in the United States and on May 21, 2013, as audio cassette which excludes the re-recorded classics, and on June 3, 2013, on CD in the United Kingdom.
Operation: Mindcrime was a progressive metal band that was fronted by the former lead singer of Queensrÿche, Geoff Tate. It is named after Queensrÿche's 1988 album of the same name. Various musicians have contributed to the band, both live and in studio and it features members such as John Moyer and Simon Wright. The group signed a worldwide deal in December 2014 with Frontiers Music Srl for its coming releases. Their debut album, The Key, which is part one of a trilogy, was released in 2015. The second, Resurrection, was released in 2016, and the third and final album of the trilogy, The New Reality, was released in 2017.
