Robin Overbeeke (born 21 March 1989) is a Dutch male volleyball player. He is part of the Netherlands men's national volleyball team. On club level he plays for Lindemans Aalst. [1]
Beach volleyball is a team sport played by two teams of two players each on a sand court divided by a net. Similar to indoor volleyball, the objective of the game is to send the ball over the net and to ground it on the opponent's side of the court. Each team also works in unison to prevent the opposing team from grounding the ball on their side of the court.

Eugenio George Lafita, also known as Eugenio George, was a Cuban volleyball coach. Nicknamed "Volleyball guru", George led the Cuban women's team to gold medals in the Olympics in 1992, 1996, and 2000. In 2000, the International Volleyball Federation (FIVB) named him the Best Women's Volleyball Team Coach of the Twentieth Century. In 2005, he was inducted into the International Volleyball Hall of Fame.
Steven Marshall is a Canadian male volleyball player. He was a member of the Canada men's national volleyball team, representing Canada in the 2016 and 2020 Summer Olympics. He was a gold medallist at the NORCECA Men's Volleyball Championship in 2015 and a bronze medallist at the 2015 Pan American Games.

Initially the tournament was played in the year following the Olympic Games, except for 1973 when no tournament was held, but since 1991 the World Cup has been awarded in the year preceding the Olympic Games. The 2023 edition, however, did not take place as the qualification tournament for the 2024 Summer Olympics was not officially recognized by the FIVB as a World Cup.

The competition was first contested in 1991 in Brazil. It was not held between 1995 and 2009, but since 2010, the competition has been held every year, and has been hosted by Qatar, Switzerland, the Philippines, Japan, China and Turkey. The competition was held in Zhejiang Province of China in 2018 and 2019. After the 2020 championship was cancelled due to corona virus pandemic, the competition was held in Turkey in 2021.
The FIVB Women's Volleyball Challenger Cup is an international volleyball competition contested by the senior women's national teams of the members of the Fédération Internationale de Volleyball (FIVB), the sport's global governing body. The inaugural tournament was played between 20 and 24 June 2018 in Lima, Peru. Bulgaria won the inaugural edition, defeating Colombia in the final and qualified for the 2019 Nations League.
Halim Ebo, also known as (Arabic: عبد الحليم عبو), Abd Elhalim Mohamed Abou and Abou Abd Elahim, is an Egyptian indoor volleyball player. With his club Al-Ahly Sporting Club he competed at the 2011 FIVB Volleyball Men's Club World Championship. Since 2013 he is a member of the Egypt men's national volleyball team.
