Rock 'n Roll Children is the second album by Finnish band Sturm und Drang. The album was released 12 November 2008 in Finland, [2] and 16 January 2009 in other parts of Europe. [2] Rock 'n Roll Children went straight to number two on the Finnish sales chart and it also sold gold (15.000 records) within one week in Finland. The album was produced by Jimmy Westerlund, [4] and co-produced by André Linman, Patrick Linman, Mats Persson, Erik Mårtensson and Johan Becker. [4] Jani Liimatainen (Ex-Sonata Arctica, Cain's Offering) wrote the song "River Runs Dry".

The first single from the album, Break Away, was released 22 September 2008. [5]

Sturm und Drang was a proto-Romantic movement in German literature and music that occurred between the late 1760s and early 1780s. Sturm und Drang was a Finnish heavy metal/hard rock band from Vaasa formed in 2004. The band's original members were lead singer/guitarist André Linman, guitarist/backing vocals Alexander Ivars, keyboardist Jesper Welroos, bassist/backing vocalist Henrik Kurkiala and drummer/backing vocalist Calle Fahllund. Other members were bassist Joel Wendlin and guitarist Jani Kuoppamaa. The band started off as schoolmates covering bands such as Judas Priest and gradually started writing their own material. They were discovered in 2005 by record label HMC. Their debut album Learning to Rock was released in 2007 and eventually went platinum in Finland. Their second album Rock 'n Roll Children was released in 2008 and went gold within less than a week. The band is known for songs "Rising Son", "Indian" and "A Million Nights". As of 2010, the band has sold over 100,000 records. In 2014 the band broke up when members left to start their own separated projects.

<i>Learning to Rock</i> 2007 studio album by Sturm und Drang

Learning to Rock is the debut album by the Finnish band Sturm und Drang. It spawned "Rising Son" and "Forever" as its first two singles. The band members were only 15 and 16 years old when the album was released. The album was released in Germany, Austria and Switzerland on August 24, 2007, and the versions released there had different cover and different track lists. One version was the same in Finland, but their German label GUN Records released an Amazon special version which included a cover of Judas Priests "Breaking the Law", the video for "Rising Son" and an EPK interview. They also recorded a new version of "Forever", featuring Udo Dirkschneider on backing vocals.

Elias "E.Vil" Einari Johannes Viljanen is a Finnish musician from Tampere, Finland, known for being the guitarist for Sonata Arctica since 2007. Viljanen joined Sonata Arctica in spring 2007 in order to replace Jani Liimatainen, who left the band in August 2007 to fulfill his civil duties in Finland. The decision was only made official on 8 August 2007, but Elias Viljanen had been known to replace Liimatainen in concerts during the spring and summer tour. Viljanen cites Kiss, Metallica, Slayer, and Whitesnake as his musical influences.

"Hysteria" is a song by Finnish singer Anna Abreu from her fourth studio album, Rush (2011). Patric Sarin, who had previously worked with Abreu on her former two albums, wrote the song. It was produced by Jukka Immonen, the hitmaker responsible for producing all three of Finnish singer Jenni Vartiainen's albums, including Seili, which was certified 7xPlatinum and went on to become one of the highest-selling albums of all time in Finland. "Hysteria" is a Pop song that continues the Dance infusion Abreu started using during the Now era. It also contains elements of Synthpop. The song was released on 10 January 2011 in Finland, as the album's lead single.

Eternal is the fifteenth album by Finnish power metal band Stratovarius, released on 11 September 2015 (Europe) and 18 September .Eternal reached No. 5 on the Finnish albums chart. Singer Timo Kotipelto composed three tracks and wrote most lyrics together with his Cain's Offering partner and former Sonata Arctica member Jani Liimatainen.
