Neue Slowenische Kunst is a political art collective that formed in Slovenia in 1984, when the Socialist Republic of Slovenia was part of Socialist Federal Republic of Yugoslavia. NSK's name was chosen to reflect the theme in its works of the complicated relationship Slovenes have had with Germans. The name of NSK's music wing, Laibach, is also the German name of the Slovene capital Ljubljana. The name created controversy because some felt it evoked memories of the Nazi annexation of Slovenia during the Second World War. It also refers to Slovenia's previous seven centuries as part of the Habsburg monarchy.

Elizabeth Myers is an American musician, composer, pianist and singer. She co-wrote the Eddie Money song "Shakin'", but is best known for her collaborations with her husband, John Trivers on the music for several award-winning commercials and films. Their music company Trivers Myers Music, established in 1984, has composed or arranged music for many clients, and received multiple Clio Awards. They have arranged and produced the music for several commercials for United Airlines, one of which, "A Life", is a part of the permanent collection at the Museum of Modern Art. In 2011, the theme for the CBS Evening News that Myers co-wrote with Trivers and Alan Pasqua was relaunched for the broadcasts that feature Scott Pelley as news anchor. Most recently, in summer 2020, pianist Myers along with cellist Paula Hochhalter who comprise the chamber music duo Trufflemusik, released “A Sweet of Brahms.” The duo was formed in 2017 to reimagine classical masterworks by adding the cello, therefore creating an expanded repertoire for cello and piano. The duo strongly felt that this Brahms’ music was ripe for some cello: “The result is both sonorous and vibrant, a lively and strong reimagination of a classical master.”
Joseph Gaétan Robert Gérald (Gerry) Boulet was a French Canadian rock singer. Most famous as vocalist for the Quebec rock band Offenbach, he also released two solo albums. He is considered one of the innovators of rock music in the joual language of French Quebec.

The Eurovision Young Musicians 1992 was the sixth edition of the Eurovision Young Musicians, held at Cirque Royal in Brussels, Belgium on 9 June 1992. Organised by the European Broadcasting Union (EBU) and host broadcaster Radio Télévision Belge Francophone (RTBF), musicians from eight countries participated in the televised final. A total of thirteen countries took part in the competition. All participants performed a classical piece of their choice accompanied by the Belgian National Orchestra, conducted by Ronald Zollman. Hungary and Poland made their début, while France, Greece, previous winners Netherlands, Ireland, Italy, Portugal and Sweden decided not to participate.
Super Bock Super Rock is a music festival in Portugal that takes place annually since 1995. It is organized by the Portuguese live entertainment company Música no Coração and is named after its main sponsor, the beer brand Super Bock.

Huelga de Hambre is a Peruvian band, formed in Lima, Peru, around April 1994. They started to play covers from Pearl Jam, Soundgarden, Smashing Pumpkins, Black Crowes and Soul Asylum. And released their only album, M4QUINA Y ESPIR1TU, in 1998. Huelga de Hambre quickly developed a distinctive quality sound with clear resemblance of their grunge influences. It has been coined as the best "reincarnation" of the Seattle scene in Peru.
Pas de Deux were a Belgian band, best known for their participation in the 1983 Eurovision Song Contest, and the controversy surrounding their selection as that year's Belgian representatives. The band was formed by Verdin in Leuven in 1982.

Farinha Master was a Portuguese experimental musician and performer. Most notably was the mentor of Ocaso Épico in 1981, a project that incorporated synthpop, electronica, industrial music, minimalism and Portuguese folk music in a hallucinated, sarcastic style. Their lyrics are often absurd showing a reminiscence of Dadaism. Although they won an important music contest and were appreciated by the public and the musical press their discography is scarce and belated. Xutos & Pontapés are a Portuguese rock band. The band was founded in 1978, in Lisbon, by the late Zé Pedro, Zé Leonel, Kalú and Tim. Their current lineup consists of Tim, João Cabeleira (guitar), Gui and Kalú (drums).

"Rendez Vous" is a song recorded by Romanian recording artist Inna for her eponymous and fourth studio album (2015) and its Japanese version Body and the Sun (2015). It was made available for digital download as a single on 12 February 2016 through Roton. The song makes use of a sample of Mr. President's "Coco Jamboo" (1996), resulting in writing credits for its composers Rainer Gaffrey, Kai Matthiesen and Delroy Rennalls. "Rendez Vous" was written by Ilsey Juber, Andreas Schuller and Thomas Troelsen, and produced by Troelsen and Schuller under the name Axident. Musically, the mid-tempo song contains acoustic elements and Eurodance influences in its refrain, with Inna singing about meeting the man she loved in the summer.
Elena Waiss was a Chilean pianist. She was the founder and director of the Escuela Moderna de Música y Danza (EMMD) and author of texts for musical initiation such as Mi amigo el piano. She also served as a harpsichordist and pianist for the Chilean Symphony Orchestra.
