Rock the Opera is a rock orchestra from Prague, Czech Republic. It was established in 2015 by the German conductor Friedemann Riehle. [1] [2]
Rock the Opera performs rock songs from artists such as Queen, U2, Pink Floyd, Led Zeppelin or AC/DC along with a symphony orchestra, usually Prague Philharmonic Orchestra.

He was a leading interpreter of Czech classical music, and became chief conductor of the Czech Philharmonic Orchestra in 1990, a role he would serve on two occasions during a combined span of seven years. He also served a six-year tenure as the chief conductor of the BBC Symphony Orchestra from 2006 to 2012. He gained international renown and repute for his performances of the works of Czech composers such as Antonín Dvořák and Bohuslav Martinů, and was credited as "the most profound proponent of Czech orchestral music" by Czech music specialist Professor Michael Beckerman.
Lukáš Hurník is a Czech composer. He graduated from Charles University with a degree in Music Studies. He learned to compose from his father, composer Ilja Hurník. He works as director manager of Czech Radio 3 – Vltava. In 1990 his composition entitled Hot-Suite for piano duo won first prize at the Piano Duo Association of Japan contest. His compositions have been awarded a number of honors at Czech and international competitions. A strong rhythm and melody and polyphonic voice parts are typical of Hurník's synthesis.
