Rodney Barton was the U.S. National Badminton Men's Champion in 1983 and 1984. He attended Palo Alto High School. [1] [2] He is African American. [3]

The U.S. Open Badminton Championships is an annual badminton tournament first held in 1954 when the American Badminton Association opened the U.S. National Badminton Championships to foreign competition. Carolina María Marín Martín is a Spanish professional badminton player. She is the reigning Olympic Champion, three-time World Champion, four-time European Champion, and the former World's No. 1 in BWF rankings for the women's singles discipline, holding the World No. 1 title for a record number of 66 weeks. Widely regarded as one of the greatest female athletes in the badminton circuit, she holds the distinction of having won a medal in almost every BWF tournament, along with the consecutive golds at the Olympics, the World Championships and the European Championships. She has become the World Champions in the women's singles three times, winning in 2014, 2015 and 2018, thereby becoming the first ever female badminton athlete to have achieved this feat. Viktor Axelsen is a Danish badminton player. He was the 2017 World Champion and the bronze medalist at the 2016 Summer Olympics. He won the 2010 World Junior Championships, beating Korea's Kang Ji-wook in the final to become the first ever European player to hold the title. Axelsen was crowned European men's singles champion in 2016 and 2018.

Mitchel Arthur Wongsodikromo is a Surinamese badminton player and coach. He competed for Suriname at three Pan Am Games: 2003 Pan American Games, 2007 Pan American Games & the 2011 Pan American Games. As a very young badminton player of the club T.N.F. in Suriname Mitchel Wongsodikromo was an exceptional talent and won numerous juniors titles and was soon selected to represent his country abroad winning several juniors medals at Caribbean, Central American and South American events. Much of his success was with his doubles partner Virgil Soeroredjo.

Srikanth Kidambi is an Indian badminton player who trains at the Gopichand Badminton Academy, Hyderabad. He ranked as world number 1 at the BWF ranking in April 2018. Kidambi was awarded with the Padma Shri, India's fourth highest civilian award in 2018. and Arjuna award in 2015.

Jonathan Dolan is an Irish badminton player. As a junior player, he was a champion at the 2012 Bulgarian and Irish Junior International Open badminton competition (U-19). In the senior event, he clinched the men's doubles title at the 2013 Irish Future Series tournament with his partner Sam Magee. Dolan also won the Irish National Badminton Championships in the men's singles and doubles event in 2014 and 2019. Antonsen was the champion at the 2019 Minsk European Games, and the silver medalists at the 2017 European Championships, and the 2019 World Championships.

Alex Christiaan Vlaar is a Bulgarian badminton player. He was born in Lelystad, the Netherlands his parents also playing badminton. His father Chris Vlaar a Dutch rally car driver and badminton coach, his mother Emilia Dimitrova, née Emmy Vlaar, also a coach even played badminton for Bulgaria at the 1992 Barcelona Olympic Games.

Dorothy "Dottie" O'Neil is a retired American badminton player.

Christo Popov is a French badminton player from Fos club. He was the boys' doubles European U15 and U17 Junior Champions, also won the boys' singles silver medals at the 2018 European and 2019 World Junior Championships. He reached a career high as boys' singles World Junior number 1 in January 2020.
