Roe Valley Hospital is a health facility in Benevenagh Drive, Limavady, Northern Ireland.
The facility has its origins in the Newtown Limavady Union Workhouse which was designed by George Wilkinson and was completed in March 1842. [1] It became the Limavady District Hospital in 1932 and, after joining the National Health Service in 1948, the facility evolved to become Roe Valley Hospital. [2] After services transferred to Altnagelvin Area Hospital, Roe Valley Hospital closed in 1997. [3] The buildings were subsequently restored by the Limavady Community Development Initiative, a local charity. [3] In 2011 the facility was used as the venue for a play by a local theatre company [4] and it continues to be used for local health services such as diabetes clinics. [5]
Limavady is a market town in County Londonderry, Northern Ireland, with Binevenagh as a backdrop. Lying 17 miles (27 km) east of Derry and 14 miles (23 km) southwest of Coleraine, Limavady had a population of 12,032 people at the 2011 Census. In the 40 years between 1971 and 2011, Limavady's population nearly doubled. Limavady is within Causeway Coast and Glens Borough.
Dungiven is a small town, townland and civil parish in County Londonderry, Northern Ireland. It is near the main A6 Belfast to Derry road, which bypasses the town. It lies where the rivers Roe, Owenreagh and Owenbeg meet at the foot of the 1,525 ft (465 m) Benbradagh. Nearby is the Glenshane Pass, where the road rises to over 1,000 ft (300 m). It had a population of 3,288 people in the 2011 Census, an increase of 10% over the 2001 population of 2,993. It is within Causeway Coast and Glens district council area.

Roe Valley Football Club, based in Limavady, is a junior football club from Northern Ireland. The club has been in existence for fifty years. After many successes in the 1970s and 1980s, the club was held in high regard in footballing circles not only in the North West but also further afield, indeed it was once one of the leading lights in the Northern Ireland Intermediate League. After a period of uncertainty the club reverted to Junior status in 2011 and currently plays in the North West Junior Division One League. The club famously played Linfield F.C. in the 1983 Irish Cup. A successful Mini-Soccer Academy was set up in 2012 with the hope of building a strong club for the local community. Roe Valley FC won the North West Junior Division 2 league 2021/2022. There first trophy in over 34 years.

The structure, which incorporates the façade of the old town hall, was previously a Grade B1 listed building but was delisted in July 1998 to facilitate the demolition of the structure behind the façade and the subsequent erection of a new cultural centre.
