Roger Clark (born July 14, 1978) is an Irish-American actor and voice actor. He is best known for portraying Arthur Morgan through performance capture in the 2018 video game Red Dead Redemption 2 , a role which garnered him critical acclaim and numerous accolades.
Clark was born in the United States [1] on July 14, 1978, [2] [3] the son of an Irish mother and an Irish-American father. The family spent each summer vacationing in his mother's hometown of Sligo in Ireland. When he was 12 years old, the family permanently moved to Sligo, where he later completed his Leaving Certificate. [1] He later moved to Wales to study theatre, media, and drama at the University of Glamorgan. [4] [5] After living and working in London for a number of years, he relocated to New York City in the early 2010s. [6]
Clark provided the performance capture for Arthur Morgan, the protagonist of the 2018 video game Red Dead Redemption 2 . His performance earned him numerous awards and nominations. [7] [8] [9] [10] [11] He also has a successful career onstage and has narrated over 150 audiobooks. [12]
Clark has dual American and Irish citizenship. [13] He married his wife, Molly, on April 25, 2014. [14] They have two sons, Colin and Ruari. [15] Colin, born on February 18, 2013, [16] is on the autism spectrum. [17]

Red Dead Redemption 2 is a 2018 action-adventure game developed and published by Rockstar Games. The game is the third entry in the Red Dead series and a prequel to the 2010 game Red Dead Redemption. The story is set in a fictionalized representation of the United States in 1899 and follows the exploits of Arthur Morgan, an outlaw and member of the Van der Linde gang, who must deal with the decline of the Wild West while attempting to survive against government forces, rival gangs, and other adversaries. The game is presented through first- and third-person perspectives, and the player may freely roam in its interactive open world. Gameplay elements include shootouts, robberies, hunting, horseback riding, interacting with non-player characters, and maintaining the character's honor rating through moral choices and deeds. The Game Awards 2018 was an award show that honored the best video games of 2018.
