Rogers Behavioral Health (Rogers) is an American care provider that offers inpatient and outpatient mental health and addiction treatment.
Rogers has locations in ten states. In 2025, Rogers began construction of 44 more beds for their inpatient treatment programs in Oconomowoc, Wisconsin. [1] [2]
Rogers conducts research related to their treatment programs. In 2023, they announced they were conducting research into the genetic component of obsessive compulsive disorder (OCD). [3]
In 2020 Rogers partnered with the Milwaukee School of Engineering to offer a program that offers psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner degrees. This was done to help alleviate the shortage of mental health providers. [4]
In July 2025, the State of Wisconsin allocated $10m to Rogers to establish a mental health hospital in Chippewa Falls, Wisconsin following the closure of the existing facility. [5] [6] The local county board approved the sale of land to Rogers for the facility the following month. [7]
In 2023 and 2024, some clinicians working for Rogers joined the National Union of Health Care Workers (NUHW). [8]
In 2019 the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) sued Rogers for rescinding a job offer to a clinician that tested positive for a substance on their drug test that was prescribed to them, without offering the clinician the opportunity to provide information about their prescription. [9]
In 2020, in a separate incident, the EEOC found that Rogers violated the Americans with Disabilities Act in failing to provide reasonable accommodation to an employee battling breast cancer. [10]
In 2023 Rogers announced the use of artificial intelligence (AI) to "to find patterns in how people respond to different treatments and to identify risk factors for people who might be considering suicide" despite potential ethics concerns. [11] In 2025 Rogers announced they would begin using AI to screen prospective new patients. [12] [13]
In response to an executive order by President Trump, Rogers ended their diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) program in May 2025. As a result, they ended two jobs that supported the program. [14]
