Rokas Bernatonis (born August 15, 1992) is a Lithuanian magician and entertainer. He is a two-time Guinness World Record holder. [1] [2] [3] [4] [5] [6]
Bernatonis was born in Lentvaris, Lithuania. [7] [8] He attended the Trakai Vytautas Magnus Gymnasium, graduating in 2011, and earned a degree in visual communication from the International School of Law and Business in Vilnius in 2014. [9]
Bernatonis began performing professionally in 2011 as part of the magician duo Duero before transitioning to solo performances in 2011. In 2016 and 2022, he appeared and performed on Penn & Teller: Fool Us where he successfully fooled Penn & Teller. [10] [11] [12] [13] He has appeared on shows such as Românii au Talent , Adivina qué hago esta noche, and Dream of Aces. He hosted the Lithuanian edition of Aš matau tavo balsą . Bernatonis also publishes his magic performances and tutorials on YouTube and known for producing virtual magic shows online. [14] [15] [16] [17]
Bernatonis holds two Guinness World Records. In 2018, he achieved the record for the most one-handed card scales in one minute, completing 122 scales. His second record is for the highest playing card throw. [18] [19] [20] [21]
In 2020, Bernatonis launched shoprokas.lt, an online store that sells custom-designed magic products. In the same year, he launched a custom-designed deck of cards called Pelican Playing Cards through Kickstarter. [22]
Bernatonis is also known for documenting various scams targeting tourists, including fraudulent currency exchange schemes in Bali and counterfeit art scams in Italy. [23] [24] [25]
