Roland Dirk Zulehner or Zoooooz (born January 11, 1974) is a German contemporary artist. He is known for using bright colors and playful motifs inspired by the Pop Art movement and artists such as Andy Warhol and Roy Lichtenstein.[ citation needed ]

Early life

Zoooooz was born on January 11, 1974, [1] to Helmuth Zulehner and Karin Zulehner in Neresheim, Germany. He grew up in Heidenheim and was fond of art since childhood.

Career

After graduating in Technical Content Creation in 1999 from the University of Applied Sciences, Aalen. Zoooooz started working as a consultant for a large corpo, Zoooooz started working as a consultant for a large corporation in Germany. Eventually, he left his job as a consultant and started to explore his artistic side. He chose acrylic paint as his preferred medium due to its quick-drying properties, which suited his style.[ citation needed ]

He gained recognition in 2004 for his first solo exhibition in Stuttgart. Soon after, Zoooooz started to attract clients and other artists from the country. Zoooooz has exhibited in numerous art galleries in Germany as well as internationally. His art has been published in various publications, including Art Magazine. [2]

Zoooooz's work is usually characterized by bold, graphic style and bright colors, and his paintings feature happy and humorous subjects. He has been compared to other known contemporary artists such as Jeff Koons and Takashi Murakami. [3]

Personal life

Roland Dirk Zulehner's and his partner in an active role is Maria Uberstein, a South African artist that has been with him since February 2020. His social causes include donating his artwork to charity and organizations like Médecins Sans Frontières. [40]
