Roma United Sports Club is a football club based in George Town, Cayman Islands, which currently plays in the Cayman Premier League. [1] It was formed in 2002 after a merger between Roma International and Soweto.[ citation needed ]

Prior to Pugh's appointment, the Cayman Island's national team had failed to win a single game in over 9 years, sinking to 206 in the FIFA World Rankings. They have recently advanced 13 places in the rankings; winning 4 out of 6 Nation's League Qualifiers.

ICC U19 Cricket World Cup Americas Qualifier is an international cricket tournament contested by under-19 national teams from the ICC Americas region. The tournament has run bi-annually since 2001, occasionally with more than one division. The championship also serves as a qualification tournament for the Under-19 World Cup, though the number of teams progressing has varied. The most recent tournament was held in Canada and won by Canada. Canada are by far the most successful team overall, winning seven titles, to the two won by the United States and the single title won by Bermuda.

Association football – commonly known as football – is a popular sport in Cayman Islands. The Cayman Islands Football Association – the territory's football governing body – organizes the Men's and Women's national teams and administers the territory's professional league the Cayman Islands League. As members of Caribbean Football Union teams are eligible for the Caribbean Club Championship and the territory's membership in CONCACAF allows teams to participate in that organizations club and national team competitions. The Cayman Islands are also a member of FIFA and is therefore eligible to play in the World Cup.

The Cayman Islands Digicel Cup is a cup of the Cayman Islands football, first held in 2006. It is sponsored by Digicel.

Courtney Young is a Caymanian cricket umpire who sits on the ICC Associates and Affiliates Umpire Panel. He made his first-class umpiring debut in 2004, and has since regularly umpired in International Cricket Council (ICC) tournaments.

Results from the 2014–15 Cayman Islands FA Cup

The 2015–16 Cayman Islands Premier League season was the 37th season of top-tier football in the Cayman Islands. It began on 18 October 2015 and will end on 29 May 2016. Scholars International were the defending champions, having won their 9th title last season. Scholars International won their 10th title this season.

Sacha de Alwis is a Sri Lankan cricketer. He made his first-class debut for Bloomfield Cricket and Athletic Club in the 2016–17 Premier League Tournament on 3 December 2016. Prior to his first-class debut, he represented the Cayman Islands in the 2015 ICC World Cricket League Division Six tournament.
