The Roman Catholic Diocese of Incheon (Latin : Dioecesis Inchonensis) is a diocese of the Latin Church of the Catholic Church located in Incheon, South Korea. The diocese is suffragan to the Archdiocese of Seoul.

History

On 6 June 1961 Pope John XXIII erected as an Apostolic Vicariate of Incheon. It was elevated to a diocese the next year on 10 March. The seat is Dapdong Cathedral. [1] [2]

Taejo Wang Geon is a 2000 Korean historical period drama. Directed by Kim Jong-sun and starring Choi Soo-jong in the title role of King Taejo. The drama aired from April 1, 2000 to February 24, 2002 in a total of 200 episodes. In the scene dealing with the end of Gungye, it gained a lot of popularity, recording the highest viewership rating of 60.4% in the metropolitan area.

The South Korea men's national volleyball team represents South Korea in international volleyball competitions and friendly matches, governed by Korea Volleyball Association. The Republic of Korea (ROK) has competed in the Olympic Games eight times, but has not featured since the 2000 Olympic Games in Sydney, Australia. The national team's best performance at the Olympic Games was 5th place at the 1984 Games in Los Angeles, California, United States. The Korea National Ballet is a South Korean ballet company. It was founded in 1962 in Seoul as the National Ballet Company. It was one of the affiliates of the National Theater of Korea until 1999, when it separated to independently reestablish itself in the Seoul Arts Center in the following year.

William John McNaughton, M.M. was an American-born Catholic missionary and bishop. As a member of the Catholic Foreign Mission Society of America (Maryknoll) he was assigned to missions in South Korea. He served as the first Bishop of Incheon from 1961 to 2002.

Operation Chromite is a 2016 South Korean war drama film directed by John H. Lee and based on the real-life events of the Battle of Inchon, although it presents a fictionalized version of the historical CIA/US military intelligence operation "Trudy Jackson", conducted before the actual landing operation. It was released on 27 July 2016 in South Korea.

The Sound Of Your Heart is a South Korean television series starring Lee Kwang-soo and Jung So-min. The sitcom is based on the webtoon of the same name. The first 10 episodes were aired as a web series on November 7, 2016 through Naver TV Cast on Mondays at 6:00 (KST), and the remaining 10 episodes aired from December 2016. The web series hit 100 million views on Sohu TV and ranked No. 1 among Korean dramas on the site. On Naver TV Cast, the web series has more than 40 million views in South Korea as of February 2017. It is also now airing on Netflix.

West Palace is a 1995 South Korean television series starring Lee Young-ae, Kim Kyu-chul and Lee Bo-hee. It aired on KBS2 from July 7 to December 26, 1995, on Mondays and Tuesdays at 21:40 for 52 episodes.
