The Roman Catholic Diocese of Kimberley (Latin : Kimberleyen(sis)) is a diocese of the Catholic Church based in the city of Kimberley in the ecclesiastical province of Bloemfontein in South Africa. The seat of the bishop is the Cathedral of St. Mary in Kimberley.

The Catholic Church in South Africa is part of the worldwide Catholic Church composed of the Latin Church and 23 Eastern Catholic Churches, of which the South African church is under the spiritual leadership of the Southern African Catholic Bishops Conference and the pope in Rome. It is made up of 26 dioceses and archdioceses plus an apostolic vicariate.

The Archdiocese of Durban evolved from the Vicariate Apostolic of Natal which was erected on 15 November 1850 and elevated to an archdiocese with the title Archdiocese of Durban on 11 January 1951. As of 2002, the Church census shows that there were 217,468 Catholics in 74 parishes in the Archdiocese.

Obba was an Ancient town in Roman North Africa. It is now a Latin Catholic titular see.

The portion of South Africa which would form the Vicariate of Kimberley in Orange had earlier become in the division of the Apostolic Vicariate of Good Hope part of the Eastern District, and later on part of the Apostolic Vicariate of Natal. The Vicarate was promoted to the Roman Catholic Diocese of Kimberley in 1951.
