Juan José Omella y Omella is a Spanish prelate of the Roman Catholic Church. He has been serving as the archbishop of Barcelona since his installation on 26 December 2015 and as a cardinal since 28 June 2017. He was the president of the Episcopal Conference of Spain from 2020 to 2024. He previously served as auxiliary bishop of Zaragoza (1996-1999) and bishop of Barbastro-Monzón (1999–2004) and Calahorra y La Calzada-Logroño (2004-2015). He is a member of the Council of Cardinals.
The Ruta del Tambor y el Bombo is a celebration of Easter and the Passion of Christ that takes place in nine towns in south-eastern Aragon (Spain), in the province of Teruel: Albalate del Arzobispo, Alcañiz, Alcorisa, Andorra, Calanda, Híjar, la Puebla de Híjar, Samper de Calanda and Urrea de Gaén. During the Holy Week, a number of residents of those towns wear a special tunic and play either the drum or the bass drum at specified moments, also marching during processions. The combination of all the drums playing simultaneously creates a remarkably loud din.
Peña El Ajo is a cultural association formed in Teruel (Spain), in 1969. It is in the central and the oldest part of the City, "La Vaquilla Del Ángel". The association is in charge of scheduling a music festival which lasts for 4 days, over the weekend closest to 10 July. The staff of the association is responsible for planning, coordinating and monitoring the different musical event.

The 2023 Aragonese regional election was held on Sunday, 28 May 2023, to elect the 11th Cortes of the autonomous community of Aragon. All 67 seats in the Cortes were up for election. The election was held simultaneously with regional elections in eleven other autonomous communities and local elections all throughout Spain.
