Romantic Works is the third studio album by English musician Keaton Henson, released on 16 June 2014. The album features cellist Ren Ford on the majority of songs.
The album is entirely instrumental, and it features cellist Ren Ford on every song except for "Preface", "Petrichor" and "Nearly Curtains". Keaton Henson described the album's music as "bedroom classical", as it was recorded in his bedroom. The album was inspired by Arvo Pärt, Philip Glass, Henryk Górecki, Edward Elgar, Ralph Vaughan Williams and Saint-Saëns. [1]
He said about how the songs are instrumental that "the pieces on it are the in-between moments when I found it all too much to write a clever rhyme." He also said "as someone who writes songs about my own experience, as honestly as I can, I find myself looking for new emotional wells to draw from all the time. But over the years I have found there are certain subjects I have been unable to mine." The second song on the album is "Elevator Song", which he said "wrote while daydreaming and thinking about a breakdown I had in an elevator in Glasgow." [2]
On 16 June 2014 the album was released without any prior announcement or promotion and streamed on The Guardian 's website. [1] It was released as a digital download and on CD. [3] [4] A deluxe vinyl edition was later issued via The Vinyl Factory, initially in a run of six limited editions, each of 100 copies. [5] These quickly sold out and were followed by a further run of 1000. [6] Those copies sold out quickly as well and were followed by another printing. A non-album song called "Sand" was also made as a free download not long afterwards through his online store. [7] The first video, for "Earnestly Yours", was released on 4 July 2014, [8] premiering on Clash. [9] On 2 September 2014, he released a video for "Healah Dancing". [10]

Fightstar are a British rock band from London that formed in 2003. The band is composed of lead vocalist, guitarist and keyboardist Charlie Simpson, guitarist and co-vocalist Alex Westaway, bassist Dan Haigh and drummer Omar Abidi. Generally considered a post-hardcore band as a whole, Fightstar are known to incorporate metal, alternative rock and other genres into their sound. During the band's early days, they were viewed sceptically by critics because of Simpson's former pop career with Busted. Their live shows got a more positive reaction, and their 2005 debut EP, They Liked You Better When You Were Dead, was a critical success.

The song is about the relationship between Liars frontman Angus Andrew and Yeah Yeah Yeahs lead singer Karen O. Having been signed to Fearless Records since 2006, the band also signed onto a major label with Atlantic Records in 2009. A Lesson in Romantics is the debut studio album by American rock band Mayday Parade. The band resulted from a merger of two separate bands, Kid Named Chicago and Defining Moment. In June 2006 the band released an EP, Tales Told by Dead Friends, which they sold to people by following the 2006 edition of Warped Tour and offering copies; it eventually sold 10,000 copies. The band signed to Fearless Records in August. A Lesson in Romantics was recorded in early 2007 with producers Zack Odom and Kenneth Mount. Vocalist/guitarist Jason Lancaster left the band in March 2007 citing a lack of writing credit on the band's releases. Prior to the release of A Lesson in Romantics, "Black Cat", "When I Get Home, You're So Dead", and "Jamie All Over" were made available for streaming. After the album's release, the band participated in the 2007 edition of Warped Tour.
2Cellos were a Croatian cellist duo, consisting of classically trained cellists Luka Šulić and Stjepan Hauser. Signed to Sony Masterworks in 2011, they released six albums. The duo played instrumental arrangements for cellos of well-known pop and rock songs, as well as classical and film music. The duo performed internationally and were featured on several American television series including Glee and The Bachelor. They continue to be active as solo performers.
