Lawsuit

In 2008, filmmaker Uwe Boll filed a lawsuit against Romar Entertainment, claiming that the company and its partners, including actor Billy Zane, had failed to properly promote his 2005 film BloodRayne , resulting in poor box-office returns. [2] [3]

According to Boll, Romar allegedly diverted marketing funds intended for the film’s promotion, and its limited theatrical release — fewer than 1,000 screens compared to the 2,000 originally planned — contributed to the film’s financial underperformance. [4] [5]

The lawsuit received coverage in entertainment trade publications but the final outcome was not made publicly available. [6]
