Rommel Rodrigues is an Indian author, film director, screenwriter and producer based out of Mumbai. He has worked in several Indian newspapers, writing on crime, business, politics and current affairs for over two and a half decades and was accredited by the Maharashtra Government for nearly 10 years. He's a columnist and presently the editor of SEZ Times.

Rommel has authored several books, including critically acclaimed bestsellers like Kasab: The Face of 26/11 [1] [2] [3] [4] [5] [6] [7] [8] detailing the 2008 Mumbai attacks, published by Penguin Books and Everything You Wanted to Know About Business & Economics, by CNBC Bestsellers18. [9] [10] His latest book is titled, Illusion of Justice - 18-Steps Program to Overhaul the Indian Judicial System, published by Thomson Reuters, and covers the problems faced by the Indian judicial system.

Rommel has also edited several books including The Market Mafia : Chronicle of India’s High-Tech Stock Market Scandal & The Cabal That Went Scot-Free by journalist Palak Shah which exposes the role of several people who perpetrated a multi-crore scandal in the largest exchange of the country and the apathy of the regulator. Rommel is the Writer and associate director of Ram Gopal Varma's film The Attacks of 26/11 which was released in 2013 to very positive reviews. [13] [14] [15]

Rommel Rodrigues produced and directed the commercially released Marathi film Gurukul based on his own script. [16] [17] [18] Rommel is producing and directing another Marathi film tentatively titled Ashprushya.

The 2008 Mumbai attacks were a series of terrorist attacks that took place in November 2008, when 10 members of Lashkar-e-Taiba, a militant Islamist organisation from Pakistan, carried out 12 coordinated shooting and bombing attacks lasting four days across Mumbai. The attacks, which drew widespread global condemnation, began on Wednesday 26 November and lasted until Saturday 29 November 2008. A total of 175 people died, including nine of the attackers, with more than 300 injured.

Kasab, alongside fellow Lashkar-e-Taiba recruit Ismail Khan, killed 72 people during the attacks, most of them at the Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminus. Kasab was the only attacker captured alive by police.

The Attacks of 26/11 is a 2013 Indian Hindi-language action thriller film directed by Ram Gopal Varma, based on the book Kasab: The Face of 26/11 by Rommel Rodrigues about Ajmal Kasab, perpetrator of the 2008 Mumbai attacks. The film stars Sanjeev Jaiswal in his film debut, playing the role of terrorist Ajmal Kasab, with art direction by Uday Singh. It also features Nana Patekar in a pivotal role. A seven-minute promo of the film was released over the Internet on 23 November 2012.

Yamunabai Waikar, née Yamunabai Vikram Jawle was an Indian folk artist, known for her expertise in the Marathi folk traditions of Lavani and Tamasha, folk art forms involving music and dance and reported to be one of the leading exponents of the art genres. It stars Nagesh Bhosle and Vidyadhar Joshi as the two main protagonists supported by a slew of artists like Asit Redij, Swapnil Joshi, Pradeep Kuwar, Prashant Mohite, Neha Khan, Reenna Liman, Sonali Shewale and others. The story focuses on a quest of former students to restore the glory of their institute from where they got their higher education Gurukul and release it from the clutches from the hands of greed politician who had usurped it by fraudulent means.

Kasab: The Face of 26/11 is an Indian non-fiction crime novel written by a journalist and author Rommel Rodrigues, first published by Penguin Books India in December 2010. The book narrates an in-depth account of events that culminated in the 2008 Mumbai attacks (26/11) and Ajmal Kasab, also talked about people who perpetrated them. The author Rommel Rodrigues was also the writer and associate director of Ram Gopal Varma's film The Attacks of 26/11 which was released in 2013 to positive reviews.
