Ronald Dale Barassi Jr. is a former Australian rules football player and coach. During a long and decorated career, Barassi has been one of the most important figures in the history of Australian football. His father Ron Barassi Sr., also a prominent Australian rules footballer, was killed at Tobruk during World War II. The young Barassi spent his latter teenage years living with Norm Smith, coach of the Melbourne Football Club and a former teammate of his father.

Scientology is a set of beliefs and practices invented by American author L. Ron Hubbard, and an associated movement. It has been variously defined as a cult, a business or a new religious movement. The most recent published census data indicate that in the United States there were about 25,000 followers, around 2,300 followers in England (2011), and about 1,700 each in both Canada (2011) and Australia (2016). Hubbard initially developed a set of ideas that he called Dianetics, which he represented as a form of therapy. This he promoted through various publications, and through the Hubbard Dianetic Research Foundation, which he established in 1950. The foundation soon entered bankruptcy, and Hubbard lost the rights to his book Dianetics: The Modern Science of Mental Health in 1952. He then recharacterized the subject as a religion and renamed it Scientology, retaining the terminology, doctrines, and the practice of "auditing". Within a year, he regained the rights to Dianetics and retained both subjects under the umbrella of the Church of Scientology.
Robert Ian Viner AO is an Australian solicitor and barrister, and former politician. He was the Liberal member for the House of Representatives seat of Stirling from 1972 until his defeat by Labor's Ron Edwards in the 1983 election. He was Minister for Aboriginal Affairs from 1975 to 1978, Minister for Employment and Youth Affairs from 1978 to 1981—he was a cabinet minister from November 1980. In 1981, he was appointed Minister for Industrial Relations and, in April 1982, Minister for Defence Support and Minister Assisting the Minister for Defence and a member of the Defence Council.
This is a list of members of the South Australian Legislative Council between 1985 and 1989. As half of the Legislative Council's terms expired at each state election, half of these members were elected at the 1982 state election with terms expiring in 1989, while the other half were elected at the 1985 state election with terms expiring in 1993.
