Roni Reiter-Palmon (born 1964) is an Israeli-American psychologist. She is a Professor and Director of the Industrial/Organizational Graduate Program at the University of Nebraska Omaha.
Reiter-Palmo was born in 1964. [1] She was born in Austin,Texas to psychologist parents but grew up in Tel Aviv,Israel. Reiter-Palmo completed her Bachelor's degree in psychology and sociology at Tel Aviv University before returning to the United States for her Master's degree and Ph.D. at George Mason University. [2]
Upon defending her Ph.D. in 1993,Reiter-Palmo joined the faculty at the University of Nebraska Omaha (UNO) as an assistant professor of psychology. [2] She was soon appointed the director of the Industrial-Organizational psychology graduate program at UNO. [3] In 2005,Reiter-Palmo and her graduate students collaborated with a consulting firm to identify and analyze job duties for US Navy officers. [4] Following this study,the UNO Institute for Collaboration Science was awarded a contract with the United States Strategic Command. Reiter-Palmo served on the leadership team of the institute as the director of research. [5] In 2017,Reiter-Palmon was recognized with UNO's Outstanding Research and Creative Activity Award. [6] She later became UNO's first psychology professor to be recognized as a Society for Industrial and Organizational Psychology Fellow. [7] In 2022,Reiter-Palmon was elected president of Division 10 of the American Psychological Association. [8] The following year,she was identified as being among the top two percent of researchers in the world in her field of social psychology. [9]

Lillian Evelyn Gilbreth was an American psychologist,industrial engineer,consultant,and educator who was an early pioneer in applying psychology to time-and-motion studies. She was described in the 1940s as "a genius in the art of living." Gilbreth,one of the first female engineers to earn a Ph.D.,is considered to be the first industrial/organizational psychologist. She and her husband,Frank Bunker Gilbreth,were efficiency experts who contributed to the study of industrial engineering,especially in the areas of motion study and human factors. Cheaper by the Dozen (1948) and Belles on Their Toes (1950),written by two of their children tell the story of their family life and describe how time-and-motion studies were applied to the organization and daily activities of their large family. Both books were later made into feature films.
Nicholas Stergiou is a Greek-American biomechanic. He is the founding Chair of the Department of Biomechanics at University of Nebraska at Omaha (UNO),where he is also the Distinguished Community Research Chair and Professor. He is also the Director of the Center for Research in Human Movement Variability and Dean of the Division of Biomechanics and Research Development at UNO. Stergiou is also a Professor at the College of Public Health at the University of Nebraska Medical Center.

Marcia K. Johnson is a Sterling Professor emeritus of psychology at Yale University. She was born in 1943 in Alameda,California. Johnson attended public schools in Oakland and Ventura. She attended the University of California Berkeley where she received both her B.A. in 1965 and Ph.D. in 1971. In 1970 Johnson moved to Long Island,New York to take a faculty position at The State University of New York at Stony Brook,where she worked until 1985. She then accepted a position at Princeton University and was there from 1985-2000. Johnson is currently a Sterling Professor Emerita of psychology at Yale University since 2000.
Nancy L. Segal is an American evolutionary psychologist and behavioral geneticist,specializing in the study of twins. She is the Professor of Developmental Psychology and Director of the Twin Studies Center,at California State University,Fullerton. Segal was a recipient of the 2005 James Shields Award for Lifetime Contributions to Twin Research from the Behavior Genetics Association and International Society for Twin Studies.
Gregory M. Herek is a researcher,author,and professor of psychology at the University of California at Davis (UCD). He has conducted extensive research on prejudice against sexual minorities,and coined the term sexual prejudice as a replacement for homophobia to describe this phenomenon. Herek argued that using the term homophobia incorrectly assumes that negative responses to lesbian,gay,and bisexual people are founded in pathological,irrational fear,whereas psychological research indicates they are more accurately regarded as a form of prejudice.
