Ronaldus Parasian "Ronnie" Sianturi (born September 3, 1965) is an Indonesian singer and actor. He is a leader of the Indonesian teen idol boy band Libels, formed in 1983. Outside of his music career, he played his first leading role in the RCTI series Mentari Di Balik Awan (1996).

Life and career

Sianturi debuted in 1983 with the formation of the teen idol boy band Libels when he was in high school. [1] [2] From 1994 to 2001, he joined Piramida game show as the host. He began his television acting debut and portrays as Willy in Mentari Di Balik Awan (Moonlight Behind the Clouds) in 1996, with Ayu Azhari portraying as Nina. [3] In 1997, Sianturi starred as Indra in the TV series Melangkah Di Atas Awan (Walking in the Clouds). [4] The series' theme song, titled "Melangkah Di Awan", was received generally positive reviews and peaked at number five in Aneka Top 13 Hits Indonesia, dated to November 15, 1997. [5] [6]

In 2000, Sianturi signed a contract with Sony Music Indonesia, to release his self-titled album, Ronnie, in April of that year. [5]

Personal life

Sianturi was once married to rocker Atiek CB. Unfortunately, this marriage, which had not yet been blessed with offspring, ended in divorce. [7]

Ratu was an Indonesian music duo formed in 1999 with Maia Estianty, then the wife of musician Ahmad Dhani, on instruments and Pinkan Mambo on vocals. <i>Melangkah Di Atas Awan</i> Indonesian musical fantasy television series

Melangkah Di Atas Awan is an Indonesian musical fantasy television series that was first aired on Indosiar for nineteen episodes between September 1997 and March 1998. Directed and co-written by Putu Wijaya, the series centers on Indra, a college student who gave his first salary and share his feelings with his mother, Diah. Indra has strong relationships with his widow Ayu, and his housekeeper Haryati. Overarching themes include a focus on love and relationships as well as the importances of socialisation and humanity.

"Melangkah Di Atas Awan" is a song recorded by Indonesian singer and actor Ronnie Sianturi of Trio Libels, who provides the singing voice of Yudi. The song was first made available in the Indosiar musical television series of the same name on September 11, 1997, before it was officially released as a single of his album of the same name in December 1997 through Musica Studios as the song's distributor. It marked Sianturi's first solo single in three years, since "Sudikah Kamu" (1994). The song was primarily composed, arranged and produced by Dwiki Dharmawan, with its lyrics penned by the frequent Starvision collaborator Eddy D. Iskandar.
