Roosevelt Collins Jr. (born January 25, 1968) is an American former professional football linebacker who played one season with the Miami Dolphins of the National Football League (NFL). He was selected by the Miami Dolphins in the sixth round of the 1992 NFL draft. He played college football at Texas Christian University and attended Booker T. Washington High School in Shreveport, Louisiana. [2] Collins was also a member of the Sacramento Gold Miners, San Antonio Texans and Amsterdam Admirals in Europe.
Collins was selected by the Miami Dolphins with the 155th pick in the 1992 NFL draft. [3] He played in ten games for the Dolphins during the 1992 season. [2]
Collins appeared in four games for the Sacramento Gold Miners of the Canadian Football League in 1994. [4]
Collins played in 18 games for the San Antonio Texans of the Canadian Football League in 1995. [4]
Collins was drafted by the Amsterdam Admirals in the ninth round with the 51st pick in the 1997 World League of American Football Draft and played for them during the 1997 season. [4] [5]

The San Antonio Riders were a professional American football team that played in the WLAF in 1991 and 1992. The team played at Alamo Stadium in San Antonio in 1991 and then were forced to move to Bobcat Stadium on the campus of Southwest Texas State University in San Marcos, Texas, 45 miles (72 km) northeast of San Antonio, for the 1992 season after the San Antonio Independent School District refused to allow the sale of beer at WLAF games or the display of beer advertising at Alamo Stadium. In return, Riders ownership scrapped plans to fund $235,000 in renovations to the Stadium. In June 1991, SAISD officials announced plans for a rent increase on the Riders for the 1992 season. The relationship would last for only one season.
