Larry Melvin Webster Jr. (born January 18, 1969) is an American former professional football player who was a defensive tackle for 11 seasons in the National Football League (NFL). He played college football at University of Maryland.

Early life

A native of Elkton, Maryland, Webster graduated from Elkton High School where he was a letterman in football, basketball and track and field. His primary football position at the time was running back. He attended the University of Maryland on a full athletic scholarship. With the Terrapins football team, he made the transition to defensive lineman and was its Most Valuable Player in his senior year. [1]

Professional career

Webster was selected in the third round of the 1992 NFL draft by the Miami Dolphins as a defensive tackle. [2] Webster spent some mediocre years in Miami before signing with the Cleveland Browns in 1995 as a backup. The Browns moved from Cleveland to Baltimore (near where Webster grew up) in 1996 to become the Baltimore Ravens. Webster had some success with the Ravens. Webster was suspended by the NFL early in the 2000 season for minor legal issues. Later that same season, he earned his only Super Bowl ring when the Ravens beat the New York Giants 34–7 in Super Bowl XXXV. Webster spent one more year with Baltimore before signing with the New York Jets in 2002.

After football

With help from Rex Ryan, [3] Webster participated for three straight summers in the NFL Minority Coaching Fellowship Program with the Ravens in 2007 and 2008 and the Jets in 2009. [4] [5] He has been a football coach at Baltimore Polytechnic Institute since 2009. [1] After three years as a volunteer assistant working primarily with the defensive linemen, he became the Engineers' head coach in 2012. [6]

Anthony Lee Weaver is an American football coach and former player who is the defensive coordinator for the Miami Dolphins of the National Football League (NFL). He previously served for the Cleveland Browns, the Buffalo Bills, the Baltimore Ravens, the Houston Texans and the New York Jets. Weaver was a college football defensive end at Notre Dame and was drafted by the Ravens in the second round of the 2002 NFL draft. He also previously played for the Texans.

A longtime assistant in the National Football League (NFL), Monachino coached for several teams, including most recently as outside linebackers coach for the Atlanta Falcons. Monachino also coached for Missouri in 2018 and served as the defensive coordinator for the Indianapolis Colts from 2016 to 2017. He was also formerly the linebackers coach for the Baltimore Ravens from 2010 to 2015. He was part of the Ravens' coaching staff that won Super Bowl XLVII.

Eric Steven Weddle is an American former professional football safety who played in the National Football League (NFL) for 14 seasons. He played college football for the Utah Utes, where he earned consensus All-American honors in 2006, and was selected by the San Diego Chargers in the second round of the 2007 NFL draft. During his nine seasons with the Chargers, Weddle received three Pro Bowl and two first-team All-Pro selections. Weddle spent his next three seasons as a member of the Baltimore Ravens, earning Pro Bowl honors in each and extending his total selections to six. He retired after playing for the Los Angeles Rams in 2019, but returned two years later to join the Rams on their playoff run, which culminated with a victory in Super Bowl LVI. Isaiah "Mike" Caldwell, Jr. is an American football coach who is the linebackers coach & run game coordinator for the Las Vegas Raiders of the National Football League (NFL). He previously served as the defensive coordinator for the Jacksonville Jaguars from 2022 to 2023. After the entire Jacksonville defensive staff was fired in early 2024, he joined the Las Vegas Raiders as their linebackers coach and run game coordinator.
