San Juan is the capital city and most-populous municipality in the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, an unincorporated territory of the United States. As of the 2010 census, it is the 46th-largest city under the jurisdiction of the United States, with a population of 395,326. San Juan was founded by Spanish colonists in 1521, who called it Ciudad de Puerto Rico.

Historically the mixed use commercial and residential real estate in the main streets like Cristo Street, Fortaleza Street (north) from Tanca Street to the Governor’s Mansion is the most valuable in the area and it has kept its value abd increased steadily through several years despite the past economic turmoils.

Río Piedras is a populous district of San Juan, and former town and municipality of Puerto Rico, which was merged with the municipality of San Juan in 1951. The district today is composed of various barrios such as Pueblo and Universidad. The historic town was founded in 1714 as El Roble, it was given municipality rights in 1823, and since 1903 it has been the home of the University of Puerto Rico's main campus, earning the popular name of Ciudad Universitaria today. The downtown and historic center of Río Piedras is officially known as the Pueblo barrio of the municipality of San Juan.

EuroBancshares, Inc. was a financial holding company located in San Juan, Puerto Rico. On April 30, 2010, the bank failed and its deposits and assets were seized by the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC). Its deposits and assets were subsequently sold to Oriental Bank and Trust.

The San Juan Police Department is the primary law enforcement agency for the city of San Juan, PR, with jurisdiction only in the city limits of San Juan. Sagrado Corazón station is a rapid transit station in San Juan, Puerto Rico. Located the Martín Peña neighborhood at the southern edge of Santurce. The station is named after the district and the university of the same name. Opening on December 17, 2004, this is the northern terminus of the Tren Urbano line. The station features a stained glass display of public art display entitled Vitral by Luis Hernández Cruz.

The station is named after the Manuel Domenech Avenue where it is located. The station opened on December 17, 2004. It features a tile mural by the artist Liliana Porter titled El Viajero.
Piñero station is a railway station in San Juan, Puerto Rico located in the Hato Rey Sur district. The station is named after the Jesús T. Piñero Avenue where it is located. The station opened on December 17, 2004. It features a work of public art entitled Viandante by the artist Marnie Pérez Moliere.
Hato Rey Norte is one of the 18 barrios of the municipality of San Juan, Puerto Rico. Hato Rey Norte was part of the former municipality of Rio Piedras, before it was merged with the municipality of San Juan in 1951.
Universidad is a rapid transit station in San Juan agglomeration, Puerto Rico. It is located between Río Piedras and Piñero stations on the only line of the Tren Urbano system, in the Río Piedras area of the city of San Juan. The station is named after the University of Puerto Rico campus which it serves. The trial service ran in 2004, however, the regular service only started on 6 June 2005.
