Rose Marie Heck (born August 4,1932) is an American politician who served as the mayor of Hasbrouck Heights,New Jersey,from 1988 to 1995 and again from 2008 to 2015.
Heck has served on the South West Community Development Committee since 1970 and was its chair from 1983 to 1990. She was the mayor of Hasbrouck Heights from 1988 to 1995,and served on the borough's Planning Board during that period. Heck served on the Hasbrouck Heights Council from 1985 to 1987 and on the Hasbrouck Heights Zoning Board from 1978 to 1984. She was a Commissioner on the Bergen County Utility Authority Commissioner from 1989 to 1991 and was chair of the County Community Development Committee from 1987 to 1990. [1] On November 6,2007,Heck was elected for her third term as Mayor of Hasbrouck Heights. [2]
Heck served as a member of the New Jersey General Assembly for the 38th legislative district from 1991 to 2003. Heck's district covered an area between the Passaic and Hudson Rivers in suburban Bergen County. In the 2003 general election,Heck lost to Joseph Coniglio,the Democratic Party candidate for the office of State Senate for District 38. [3]
Heck had been elected in 1991 to fill the assembly seat vacated by Pat Schuber stepped down to serve as county executive of Bergen County. [4]
In the Assembly,Heck served as majority conference leader from 2000 to 2001 and chair of the Policy and Regulatory Oversight Committee from 1996 to 1999. [1]
Hasbrouck Heights is a borough in Bergen County,in the U.S. state of New Jersey. As of the 2020 United States census,the borough's population was 12,125,an increase of 283 (+2.4%) from the 2010 census count of 11,842,which in turn reflected an increase of 180 (+1.5%) from the 11,662 counted in the 2000 census. An inner-ring suburb of New York City,Hasbrouck Heights is located approximately 10 miles (16 km) northwest of Midtown Manhattan and 8 miles (13 km) west of Upper Manhattan.

After being ranked as the fourth-smallest municipality,by population,in New Jersey through the 2010 census,the borough is the third-smallest since the merger of Pine Valley into Pine Hill in 2022.

He also served in the General Assembly from 2004 to 2008.
Nicholas J. Sacco is an American Democratic Party politician who served in the New Jersey State Senate from 1994 to 2024,where he represented the 32nd Legislative District. Sacco serveed as the chairman of the Senate Transportation Committee and was also a member of the Law and Public Safety and Veterans' Affairs Committee. He currently serves as mayor of North Bergen since 1991 and was allowed to hold two offices under a grandfather clause in a bill that prohibited dual office holding. Sacco announced on February 24,2022 that he would not seek re-election to the State Senate.
