Royston William Langdon (born 1 May 1972) [1] is an English musician who is the lead singer and bassist of the English-American glam rock band Spacehog.
Langdon was born on 1 May 1972 in Leeds. [2] When he was young, he and his older brother Antony joined the Leeds Parish Church choir; the two of them would later found Spacehog in 1994, with Antony playing rhythm guitar in the band. Langdon wanted to become a photographer and artist and dreamed of attending Saint Martin's School of Art in London. At 16, he was expelled from school.
Shortly after Spacehog was formed, Langdon moved to New York City, where he met Bryce Goggin. The two became friends, and Goggin would produce Spacehog's best known song, "In the Meantime". [3]
Langdon was among candidates to front Velvet Revolver after the band split from singer Scott Weiland. "We've played with Royston from Spacehog," said Duff McKagan, "and he was probably 95 per cent there, but you can't put a finger on what was missing." [4]
From 25 March 2003 to April 2008 he was married to American actress Liv Tyler, with whom he has a son, Milo William Langdon (born 14 December 2004). [5]
Mad Season was an American rock supergroup formed in 1994 as a side project of members of other bands in the Seattle grunge scene. The band's principal members included guitarist Mike McCready of Pearl Jam, lead singer Layne Staley of Alice in Chains, drummer Barrett Martin of Screaming Trees, and bassist John Baker Saunders. Mad Season released only one album, Above, in March 1995. Its first single, "River of Deceit", was a radio success, and Above was certified a gold record by the RIAA in June.

Resident Alien is the debut studio album by the English rock band Spacehog. Released by Sire Records and Elektra Records on 24 October 1995, the album was certified gold on 29 July 1996 and included the hit single "In the Meantime", which reached the top of the Mainstream Rock Tracks chart in the US, and remained there for four weeks. Most of Resident Alien's basic tracks were recorded live in a barn in Woodstock, New York. It was intended to give the album the immediacy of live room recording.

The Taking is the third studio album by American rock band Loaded. It was produced by Terry Date in Seattle, Washington, and was released on April 19, 2011, through Eagle Rock Entertainment. Writing for the album began in 2009, while the band was touring in support of Sick. It was the first Loaded release, since Episode 1999: Live, without drummer Geoff Reading, who, after departing the band, was replaced by Isaac Carpenter in September 2009.
