Juliette Ruby Rita Malvina (born 1984) is a Seychellois weightlifter, who has been awarded multiple medals at 2010 African Championships, 2011 African Championships, 2015 Commonwealth Weightlifting Championships, 2015 African Games and 2023 African Championships. She has also tested positive for banned substances on two occasions: the first in 2015 incurred a four year ban.
Malvina grew-up in a single-parent household with her father; she did not meet her mother until she was 12 years old. She was introudced to weightlifting aged 15 by Janet Thélermont. [1] In her first international competition she was a bronze medalist in the snatch, clean and jerk and overall in the under 53 kg category at the 2010 African Championships in Yaoundé. [1] She was a silver medalist in the snatch, clean and jerk and overall at the 2011 African Championships in Cape Town in the under 58 kg category. [2]
In 2015 she was a awarded a gold medal at the Commonwealth Weightlifting Championships in Pune, India - but tested positive for traces of stanozolol - a dihydrotestosterone-derived synthetic anabolic steroid. [3] [4] [5] She was banned for four years, [1] and had to give up both her Commonwealth medal, and those she had won earlier in the year at the African Games and the Indian Ocean Island Games. [6]
She was awarded three bronze medals in the under 64 kg category at the 2023 African Championships in Tunis. [7] [8] [9] However after the championships, the International Testing Agency stated that Malvina tested positive for the banned anabolic steroid metenolone. [4] [6]

Mutlu is one of the five weightlifters who has achieved three consecutive gold medals at the Olympic Games. His weightlifting career includes five World championships, nine European championships and more than 20 world records at 52 kg (115 lb), 54 kg (119 lb) and 56 kg (123 lb) combined.

The Seychelles was represented at the 2006 Commonwealth Games in Melbourne by a 32-member strong contingent comprising 22 sportspersons and 10 officials. The 2006 event was the fifth time the nation has entered the Commonwealth Games, previously having won three medals – two silver and one bronze. The Seychelles team competed in seven of the 16 sporting disciplines at the Games, including athletics, boxing, weightlifting, badminton, table tennis, swimming and cycling. Reigning Seychelles Sportslady of the Year, javelin specialist Lindy Leveau-Agricole was chosen to be the team's flag bearer during the opening ceremony.
Loa Dika Toua is a Papua New Guinean Olympian weightlifter. She competed at the 2020 Summer Olympics, in Women's −49 kg.
Olha Vasylivna Korobka is a Ukrainian weightlifter who was the European record holder in the snatch with 133 kg, and in the clean and jerk with 164 kg.
Albania competed at the 2012 Summer Olympics in London, United Kingdom from 27 July to 12 August 2012. This was the nation's seventh appearance at the Olympics since its debut in 1972. The National Olympic Committee of Albania sent a total of 11 athletes to the Games, seven men and four women, to compete in four sports. Weightlifter Hysen Pulaku was officially removed from the team on the first day, after failing a drug test for the banned anabolic steroid substance, as announced by the International Olympic Committee. Albania, however, has yet to win its first ever Olympic medal.
Cristina Iovu is a Moldovan–born Azerbaijani-Romanian weightlifter competing in the –53 kg division. She is banned by the International Weightlifting Federation until 2026 for Blood substitution.

Nijat Rahimov is an Azerbaijani-born naturalized Kazakhstani weightlifter. He represented Kazakhstan at the 2016 Summer Olympics, in the category of 77 kg, he placed first, winning the gold medal and setting a new world record with a clean and jerk lift of 214 kilograms. In 2022, the medal was stripped and he was banned when it was revealed he substituted urine samples.
Khumukcham Sanjita Chanu is an Indian weightlifter. Born in Kakching Khunou, Kakching district, Manipur, she is a two time Commonwealth Games Champion. Chanu won the gold medals at the 2014 Glasgow and the 2018 Gold Coast events in the women's 48 kg and 53 kg weight category respectively. She holds the Commonwealth Games record of 84 kg for the Snatch segment in the latter weight category.
Chika Joy Amalaha is a Nigerian weightlifter. In 2019 she tested positive for metenolone and is banned until 2027 by the International Weightlifting Federation.

Angel Angelov Genchev is a Bulgarian weightlifter who competed for Bulgaria. He claimed the gold medal in weightlifting at the 1988 Summer Olympics – Men's 67.5 kg but was disqualified after he tested positive for furosemide, an IOC banned substance. It became a scandal because earlier in the meet fellow Bulgarian weightlifter Mitko Grablev had also been disqualified, after claiming a gold medal in his division, when his drug test came back positive, also for furosemide. The Bulgarian weightlifting team was forced to withdraw midway through the Weightlifting competition. Of six athletes known to have lifted more than triple their bodyweight, Genchev's 202.5 kg world record was the heaviest ever performed in competition. Genchev is a European champion in the 75 kg category from Cardiff in 1988. He was also a bronze medalist at the 1994 World Championships in Istanbul. He won the European Cup in Reims 1986 and Miskolc 1987 with the team of Bulgaria. There he set a world record in snatch - 170 kg. Angel is a four-time World and European junior champion.
Clementina Ciana Agricole is a Seychellois female weightlifter, competing in the 58 kg (128 lb) and 63 kg (139 lb) category and representing Seychelles at international competitions. She competed at world championships, including at the 2015 World Weightlifting Championships. She won the bronze medal at the 2016 African Weightlifting Championships.
Janet Marie Georges is a weightlifter from Seychelles. Competing in the 69 kg division she won two medals at the Commonwealth Games, in 2006 and 2010.
Talha Talib is a Pakistani weightlifter from Gujranwala. He is the Pakistani national champion in the 62 kg category. He set a new record at the games in snatch as he lifted 132 kg in the third attempt with 127 kg and 130 kg in the first two attempts, respectively. He was also a gold medalist at the 2016 Commonwealth Youth Weightlifting Championships in Penang. He lifted 258 kg to clinch the gold. He is currently the top No. 1 ranked weightlifter of Pakistan.
Onyeka Azike is a Nigerian weightlifter. She competed in the 2006 Commonwealth Games, won a silver medal in the women's 53 kg division at the 2006 Commonwealth Games in Melbourne, Australia, and won a gold medal in the 58 kg weightlifting category of the 2007 All Africa Games in Algeria.
Bilikis Abiodun Otunla is a Nigerian weightlifter. She competed in the 2015 African Games and she won gold medals in the women's 69 kg category - Clean and jerk 1ST (Gold), Women's 69 – 75 kg category – Trekken 1ST (Gold) and Women's 69 – 75 kg – Total Gold She had also participated in the 2016, 2018 and 2019 of the African Games competitions winning gold at all of them except the 2019 which she was suspended after her win as a result of a failed anti-doping test, and the gold medal was not awarded to her. In 2019 she was banned until 2027 by the International Weightlifting Federation after testing positive for metenolone and metenolone metabolites.
