Rudolf Jelínek (27 February 1935 – 10 August 2024) was a Czech film actor. [1] He appeared in more than 122 films and television shows between 1955 and 2016 and participated in the dubbing of more than 60 films and television series. He played one of his most famous roles in the television series Thirty Cases of Major Zeman . He was awarded honorary citizenship of Kutná Hora (2015). Jelínek died on 10 August 2024, at the age of 89. [2]

Studna is an upcoming Czech crime drama series. It is based on a 1968 tragedy that occurred in Vonoklasy. It started with a fire in a family house while trees in the garden were cut. Stanislav Jelínek was found dead in a well while the body of his wife was found after the fire was extinguished. The couple's adult son was found nearby injured and in shock. Investigators at the time closed the case, stating that the perpetrator was the man in the well. The event served as an inspiration for an episode of Thirty Cases of Major Zeman of the same name.
