"Runnin'" is a 2013 single from New Zealand rapper David Dallas, released as the first official single from his third studio album Falling into Place . [1] It was released on 27 August 2013, peaking at #7 on the New Zealand Singles Chart [2] and was certified Platinum by Recorded Music NZ.

It features in the official release trailer for Madden 25 , the soundtrack for FIFA 14, [3] and also the critically acclaimed, Adam Sandler starring film Hustle . [4]

The official remix featuring Jim Jones of the Diplomats was released on 20 December 2013.

"Runnin'" is a blues-influenced hip hop song. [5]

Music video

A music video for the song was released on 22 September 2013. It was directed by Tom Gould and filmed in and around Mitimiti, a small settlement in the Hokianga. Much of the video was shot in the nearby historic St Gabriel's church in Pawarenga. The video also features wild horses of the region. [6]

"Deadcrush" is a song by British indie rock band alt-J. It is the fifth track and fourth single from their third studio album, Relaxer, and was released as a digital single on 12 July 2017 by Infectious Music and Atlantic Records. The song was written by Joe Newman, Gus Unger-Hamiltion, and Thom Sonny Green and produced by Charlie Andrew. The song's title is based on a game the band played where they asked the question, "What historical figure would I want to take on a date if she were alive today?", and so the name "Deadcrush" is based on someone's "dead crush". He signed to Internet Money Records and 10K Projects prior to the release of his debut album, Industry Plant (2019), which was followed by On to Better Things (2022)—both of which entered the Billboard 200.
