The Fédération Internationale de Hockey, commonly known by the acronym FIH, is the international governing body of field hockey and indoor field hockey. Its headquarters are in Lausanne, Switzerland and the president is Dr Narinder Dhruv Batra. FIH is responsible for field hockey's major international tournaments, notably the Hockey World Cup.
The Scotland women's national field hockey team represents Scotland in international women's field hockey competitions, with the exception of the Olympic Games when Scottish players are eligible to play for the Great Britain women's national field hockey team as selected. Scotland recently participated in the inaugural season of the FIH Hockey World League, but were knocked out in round 2, failing to qualify for the 2014 Hockey World Cup in The Hague, Netherlands. As of November 2015 they are seventeenth in the FIH outdoor world rankings.
The Ireland men's national field hockey team is organised by Hockey Ireland and represents both the Republic of Ireland and Northern Ireland in international men's field hockey competitions, including the Summer Olympics, the Men's Hockey World Cup and the EuroHockey Nations Championship. They have previously competed in the Men's Intercontinental Cup, the Hockey Champions Challenge, the Men's FIH Hockey World League and the FIH Hockey Series. On 26 January 1895 Ireland played in the first ever international field hockey match when they defeated Wales 3–0 in Rhyl. Ireland were finalists and silver medallists at the 1908 Summer Olympics. Ireland were also bronze medallists at the 2015 Men's EuroHockey Nations Championship.
The European Hockey Federation is a European sports federation for field hockey, based in Brussels. It is the umbrella organisation for all European national federations and organises the Euro Hockey League. Marijke Fleuren was elected as president on 22 August 2011.
The Belgium women's national field hockey team is coached by Raoul Ehren.
The Ukrainian women's national field hockey team represents Ukraine in the international field hockey competitions. The team is coached by Victor Kostyukevych.
The Ukrainian men's national field hockey team represents Ukraine in international field hockey competitions.
The Wales women's national field hockey team represents Wales in international women's field hockey, with the exception of the Olympic Games when Welsh players are eligible to play for the Great Britain national women's field hockey team as selected. The country's main targets as laid down by Hockey Wales, Wales national governing body for hockey, are the EuroHockey Championships, the FIH World League and the Commonwealth Games.
The Russia men's national field hockey team represents Russia in international field hockey competitions.
The 2017 Women's EuroHockey Championship II was the 7th edition of the Women's EuroHockey Championship II. It was held from the 6th until the 12th of August 2017 in Cardiff, Wales. The tournament will also serve as a direct qualifier for the 2019 EuroHockey Championship, with the winner Belarus and runner-up Russia qualifying.

The Turkey men's national field hockey team represents Turkey in men's international field hockey competitions and is controlled by the Turkish Hockey Federation.
The Turkey women's national field hockey team is organized by the Turkish Hockey Federation and represents Turkey in international women's field hockey competitions.
The 2021 Women's EuroHockey Championship was the 15th edition of the Women's EuroHockey Championship, the biennial international women's field hockey championship of Europe organised by the European Hockey Federation.
The Switzerland national women's field hockey team represents Switzerland in international field hockey tournaments for women. They generally compete in the lowest tier of the European championships, the Women's EuroHockey Championship III and have never qualified for the Olympics.

The 2019 Men's EuroHockey Junior Championship II was the 11th edition of the Men's EuroHockey Junior Championship II, the second level of the men's European under-21 field hockey championships organized by the European Hockey Federation. It was held from 14 to 20 July 2019 in Plzeň, Czech Republic.
