World Rugby is the world governing body for the sport of rugby union. World Rugby organises the Rugby World Cup every four years, the sport's most recognised and most profitable competition. It also organises a number of other international rugby competitions, such as the World Rugby Sevens Series, the Rugby World Cup Sevens, the World Under 20 Championship, and the Pacific Nations Cup.
Rugby Union of Russia is the governing body for rugby union in Russia. It was founded in 1936 originally as the Rugby Union of the Soviet Union. The Rugby Union of Russia became affiliated to World Rugby in 1990. After the 2022 Russian invasion of Ukraine, World Rugby and Rugby Europe suspended Russia from international and European continental rugby union competition. In addition, the Rugby Union of Russia was suspended from World Rugby and Rugby Europe.
The Russia national rugby union team, nicknamed Medvedi, represented Russia in men's international rugby union international competitions. The team is administered by the Rugby Union of Russia (RUR). The RUR is considered the official successor union of the Soviet Union by World Rugby and the combined CIS team which played in the early 1990s. Since 1992, the team has played as Russia. Its first test match as Russia was against the Barbarians in Moscow in June 1992 and the country's first test against an official Test nation was against Belgium later that same year.

The Handball Federation of Russia commonly known by its acronym, HFR, is the national governing body of handball in Russia. Its headquarters are in Moscow, Russia, and its president is Sergey Shishkarev. HFR is responsible for the organization and governance of handball's major local championships in Russia, most notably the Russian Handball Super League, held since 1992.
The Russian Women's Handball Superleague is the premier women's handball competition in Russia. Currently eleven clubs take part in the competition, with the top eight playing the championship play-offs.
The Russian women's national rugby sevens team is a women's rugby team in Europe. Since 2013, it is dominating the European Championships, winning the trophy seven times. Internationally, Russia's best performance was in 2013, finishing in the quarterfinals. The team was runner-up at the 2015 Canada Women's Sevens, after defeating Australia in quarter-finals and France in semifinals.
Rugby Europe is the administrative body for rugby union in Europe. It was formed in 1999 to promote, develop, organise, and administer the game of rugby in Europe under the authority of World Rugby. However, it is not responsible for the organisation of the Six Nations Championship or the competitions run by European Professional Club Rugby.

Figure skating at the 2022 European Youth Olympic Winter Festival was held from 20 to 25 March 2022 at the Vuokatti Arena in Vuokatti, Finland. Medals were awarded in boys' and girls' singles. To be eligible, skaters must have been born between 1 July 2004 and 30 June 2006.
